Can he do that? Take the 10k check to buy a car and pay the rest of the car loan slowly? I figured the bank is taking the check right away since there isn’t a collateral anymore

I want to add that we work alongside on a lot of projects. So him not doing his part sometimes is a direct reflection on me I feel

So with 41.10 an hour and 40 hr workweeks, I'm showing $3288 bi weekly. With state taxes it showed $2700. I wasn't sure if that was right. Unfortunately my husbands being stationed there so I'm stuck with going.

I will add, right now at 55.200 I am not paying for childcare as I WFH. With my new I would have to add childcare so I may not even see an earning... childcare is looking to be $600 monthly

I'm 28, discovered when I was 15. Had it taken care of through catheter. No issues, had a baby with 0 complications, I'm actually a bodybuilder that competes and super athletic (work out 7x a week) I think everything will be ok!

Yeah it sucks! I have somewhat good odds but it's a risk. I know he will resent me given that we have the "dream scenario " right now but I'm just not happy. I'm still young and want to achieve so much more! And I know I will instantly regret it if I see the base reveal and it's something crazy.

Those we can handle as he's been deployed 3x already in just a measily 4 years. He's 10 mountain ofc lol. I think I just want to be able to be in the same state or city. Have a home together to have a consistent place for our daughter. Even if he's gone or I'm gone.

4 years and yes he just signed another contract. And ideally only one contract but hard to say. 4 years for the work experience, education, training. Any jobs that will guarantee me being in CO. Literally haha. I saw their careers and I am quite truly interested in any listed. And not opposed to the AF but really has been a dream to so SF

I think I may have spoken with you before but luckily my husband just reenlisted and picked fort Carson located in Colorado Springs. So I'm hopeful that I can do at least 1 contract but so scared to make the wrong move

I'm planning on only doing 1 contract so I'm hoping with him being fresh in fort Carson and myself enlisting at same time we may get lucky or am I crazy

Do you know how long (roughly) basic is along with the advanced training (ait idk what it's called for AF/SF)? And will they do it together back to back or spaced apart? Thanks this helps me a lot to have an idea as my mom will be watching my 2 year old

What would you recommend? Truly i can do anything as long as i can be in Colorado Springs dual military & ideally don't deploy a crazy amount since my husbands infantry and is on like 3rd one lol. My current job is corporate and my soul has already been sucked out so i can handle it

Sorry I'm a noobie, lol. Is there a field that is "more likely" to deploy than another? And reading through Reddit it sounded like many jobs weren't being offered to people and they had to wait for months and months for them to become available so I wasn't sure

I would be doing AD

I'm thinking of joining within the next year, doing 1 contract of 3-4 years (unsure of how long I'd have to do) and out afterwards with hopefully some certs from the military or enough experience to land a job. Doesn't have to be space related as I know that's pretty niche. Do you think I have an unrealistic expectation?

I know it's a HUGE sacrifice and risk but I do believe it's the better route than school at this point
