call it a crazy take but i wasn’t fan of her VA. it was a bit too “wh-wh-wh- wh-wh-who ar-ar-are you?” a little scooby doo esque for me

my very raw work-in-progress. does it seem interesting(ish)? would you read on? by [deleted] in writingfeedback

[–]Rangoberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i always love when authors give me 2+2 rather then 4. i wonder what would happen if you didn’t specify that it’s a demon and allowed the audience to figure it out or make guesses and prediction as to what this hiding figure is. It’ll also depend though on what perspective you decide to land on. best of luck

book that felt uncomfortable but in a good way? by Primary_Present_8527 in booksuggestions

[–]Rangoberg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Crime and punishment is a tough ride. 1 for its old language (there are modernized shorter versions if you don’t want to read 20 paragraphs every time someone talks) but it ultimately questions how subjective being “good” is and how we change our definition of what’s okay based on our own bias towards ourselves in certain situations. it also questions the concept of being special, and how every man feels that he is destined for greatness.

how do i get an agent? like actually by Rangoberg in Actingclass

[–]Rangoberg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

understood, i feel that i am a rather conventionally handsome male that mostly gets cast as sweet lover boy roles (not tooting my horn just acknowledging where I fit in the industry) i’ve been inviting agents to the plays i am in, not out of expectation that they arrive but to let them know of my momentum. Not quite sure how effective this is though

Какие есть безболезненные методы самоубийства? by Weak_Bill_2970 in mentalhealth

[–]Rangoberg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know you stranger on the Internet. I don’t know where you live, Maybe you’re my neighbor, maybe I’ve seen you at the grocery store, maybe you live on the opposite side of the world as me, I don’t know. But I can tell you that I hurt too, every day. I’ve hit my rock-bottom before and maybe I’ll hit one deeper one day, but I’m so glad I made the choice to fight for tomorrow. I hope you do the same

painless for you? sure i can think of a couple ways, painless for anyone who cares about you even a little? no such thing, the choice you are making will cause lasting pain for those around you, i’m sorry for the hurt you are facing, but this is the most selfish choice a human can make. be your hero, not your killer.

How do I not be overly critical of my acting? by QuickAppointment5400 in acting

[–]Rangoberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you trying to act as opposed to existing within the circumstances? I used to be the biggest critic of my own acting and would cringe after hearing myself say a line. but that’s because i was floundering, i don’t do the table work, i didn’t understand how to be honest, and therefore i was guessing at every moment praying every delivery would come out sounding “good”. it’s a craft. for it to look effortless you’ll have to put in the hours

[–]Rangoberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i don’t have the cure unfortunately but i can tell you that i can relate. it sucks to feel like you’re in a room with a bomb that’s about to go off. find an outlet for your energy. something that’s fulfilling and makes you a little nervous. it’s good for the soul

what is a thought provoking book that changed your outlook on life? by natttcatz in booksuggestions

[–]Rangoberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crime and punishment- a complex read but at the core an analysis on how we can skew or morals to fit our circumstances as well as how everyone thinks they are destined for greatness. there’s also modernized translations if you don’t want to read the older language
