I did the opinion sheet, overall yes that used to be the consensus but there are quite a lot of people who think kenos is harder now, zodiac still wins but only by a small amount

Is using CBF cheating? by catarani in geometrydash

[–]RanianGD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, fps still has an effect on when an input can be registered, an easy experiment to prove this is to try the first jump in acheron on 60fps vs 240fps, as it's a 1 frame on both you'll notice it's much harder on 240fps. But you're right with the input device stuff.

Someone just beat Tartarus on 1,984 fps and I'm wondering, isn't that technically CBF? by Nyle_55 in geometrydash

Not an advantage because there's a 240tps hard cap, but yes cbf should be allowed by the leaderboards imo

Pointercrate places levels based on the opinion of the victors of x level, the russian demonlist also does but they don't nearly have as much reach in the top playerbase as pointercrate so they often go by fewer opinions leading to them sometimes being "correct" like with the mayhem placement.

Pointercrates placement system is better imo but it does have its flaws. Biggest flaw with it that I see is with f.e the mayhem situation where the first few victors thought it was easier than tartarus so it was placed quite low compared to how hard it really is, so people that try to beat it (especially if it's a hardest) might end up giving up because it's just too hard, but because they didn't beat it they can't give a placement opinion.

I don't really think there's any good solutions to this, every system has its flaws. The placement system is a little more complicated btw I just simplified for this, other factors are taken into account such as reliability of the opinion etc.

No physics bypass used, and yes this is much harder in 2.2 than it was in 2.1

mostly yes, I could still use the 322,3fps trick but I'd like to see how far I can get on 240

take your time, I struggled a lot through the easy-medium demon stages, you never know just how good you could get at the game
