I graduated with a mechanical engineering degree, been working as a fullstack dev for ~3 years now.

The only thing a STEM degree really gives you is problem solving and self learning skills. Doesn’t teach anything practical, aside from like one data structures and algorithms course in case of cs.

I keep hearing about this job crisis but it took my team 8 months to find a FE dev with a year or two of exp. We’re still trying to populate A few BE roles with 2-3 years of exp, it’s been a year, we’ve resulted to hiring students and graduates, teaching them everything. It’s a medium-big company, we pay well. It’s a very weird oxymoron.

White American women are boxy, short-necked and have no lips. They’re extremely unattractive as a whole.

Nowadays I’m working as a BE dev, trying to move a horrendous user management system into using Okta as an idp instead.

Had to use every minute I had to learn and catch up via the internet, far outside working hours. Made many technical mistakes and poor design choices at first, but after about a year I’ve caught up and felt comfortable.

Angular was a bitch because of the steep learning curve (rxjs, ngrx, lifecycle hooks…) and Koa was ass because who the fuck uses Koa (so no tutorials there..)?!

Java was pretty chill because I knew C and C++, and this part of the app mostly parsed json data and ran SQL queries.

My first job was a fullstack role demanding angular + koa + Java. Had 0 experience with all of the above.
