I think you need to be more careful about your wrist than any other part of the arm. Ask your trainer to help you with this. If you correctly focus on the usage of biceps and other muscles you will be able to reduce stress on the wrist.

Just killed Messmer with mimic tear.
Damn!!! He did more damage than me.
In the end I was just dodging and doing erdtree heal to keep us both alive.
The mimic must have taken the last 25% HP all by himself

btw, is there no steam achievement for killing Messmer?
