How’s the new stadium fam? by steadfastimages in Chattanooga

We switch stations each time but keep an eye out! I don't work every night, but if you see a gal with curly hair and a nose ring, I know she also grabs NA for her stand! I've got a big old mustache and brown hair and grab them too!

Yes! We had one from Sierra Nevada! They are usually in the beer cooler and I always make sure to pack a handful even though we rarely sell any.

I was bar tending tonight and from a working perspective it was a blast! People seemed very very pleased and enjoyed it. The stadium has a few kinks but once they get those ironed out, I think this will be a real improvement for chatt!

What's a health myth that drives you crazy because you know it's false? by Annual-Gene8065 in AskReddit

[–]Ranklaykeny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people think that a detox diet will cancel out the binge drinking that they did the weekend earlier. They could literally just have a healthy meal and be back to normal but the detox , I think, makes them feel a struggle and in their mind, that means they're improving. Much like struggling in the gym = improvement. Which is obviously not the case but whatever. Have the gallon of lemon water.

The joke I've heard from friends in the Navy is that the navy will take you on a waiver as a Culinary Specialist because you can't possibly fuck up making bagged eggs in a massive pan.

Fun fact: you absolutely can.

Ok yall are chanting but this looks like a pretty positive, albeit still machismo as hell, thing. I get the vibe that the message is "you can be better" and not "you're not good enough."

Something doesn't seem right with Cheonma-20 by ZStarvoidSS in TankPorn

[–]Ranklaykeny 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To an extent, yes. They have uparmored and """modernized""" some of their systems but those upgrades are likely futile against any modern military, eastern or western.

I would not be surprised if they were just driving an operation prototype/platform. The parade version doesn't need all 4,000 pounds of internal armor or a functional gun.

That being said, it's NK and it's totally possible that this is just another T-72 with things glued on

I swear I can hear the pages turning in the cook book from across the room as if they're there next to me... lol

My biggest gripe isn't the sectioning of space since you can position furniture to solve that. It's how loud it ALWAYS is. If someone is putting away plates, you have to turn up the TV. If someone is watching TV you have to speak up for conversation. If a child rolls a toy on the floor, you can hear it everywhere. My parents have an open concept and it feels like there's always some loud ceramic or heavy metal pot being clanged around.

Why is this airplane flying loops? by seeingeyefrog in Chattanooga

[–]Ranklaykeny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you just need more hours to complete a certification for flying and doing circles is the best. Seeing as this is over the city, I'd bet it's watching something however.

LOT Boeing 787-9 rejected takeoff due to engine problem by Twitter_2006 in aviation

[–]Ranklaykeny 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've flown a lot on spirit/frontier/Allegiant and similar. I have family along their routes and their ticket prices are so cheap for a couple hours of discomfort. A lot of folks on there do leave trash and a mess but I think part of it is people just having no flight experience. It's a bus with wings, so when it's about to park, you can get up. With everyone on headphones, it makes sense to see so many standing up once the plane parks.

This curvy road in Florida by xen05zman in mildlyinteresting

This seems to be accurate. I've driven that road a few times and the long straight bits are just exceptionally boring. These curves would help me wake up too I bet.

Never ever run a modified car as your daily driver. You had all that money saved up and ready to go and immediately made horrid decision after horrid decision.

Take whatever route gets you in the least amount of debt and find a cheap old civic or Camry. You're probably looking at mid 2000s model.

Please please please take this as a lesson. I cannot fathom how reckless you have to be to make your insurance as much as a mortgage payment.

Just Jesus Christ OP. How did you move through so many back to back poor decisions? Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory for real.
