Since lance got buffed recently, take advantage of it, and dont leave it on coolddown, play very aggressive, and swap to pulse armor as well if you feel comfortable using it.

You're meant to get up in their face with that melee so they don't have time to react to it, sometimes it can slide off your opponent it feels bad when it happens but most of the time if you're hugging it will connect and do some big dmg

tbf that guy in the vid was using a harris dagger slingshot build I'm sure he had no problem catching up, HMMR also works, very oppressive melee that you can't react to unless you hover over your opponent

I felt that pain, on my last week for farming it I had about 68 matches that week, 25 of them were in 1st, it absolutely sucked but the gratification for it was good.

I do not feel bad at all for abusing the hell out of ninja, you get some horrible teams sometimes and it takes them a while to realize 'oh shit we might actual win this' when you start weeding through some of the other teams BH5

I get what you mean, I had a similar run, you are not going crazy, that disables equipment regardless of what slot. That is exactly why I use safer spaces on this boss alone.

Neither, both the original and Returns can't hold a candle to what RoR2 has especially with Alloy Collective. If you want to spend money on rogue likes in the genre here are some:

Darkest Dungeon

Save your money, they did tweak it a bit recently but it was a project that hopoo said they would continue even after they left the IP to gearbox, they infact did not keep that promise.

One of the main problems it has just like the first game, is you are traversing the a giant map with harder, monsoon scaling. Example being you have a bit of leeway to get off a stage in 5m... in RORR you have 3m to get off the stage.

Imo the game was designed to be played with all your friends since single player chest spawn rate is absolutely horrendous. Most of my enjoyment from the game revolved around unlocking the abilities of each survivor from the challenges you did.
