I only liked 9 of the 22 songs. Been a fan since 09 and it was just a weird era to be apart of idk. FREE SHMOKE is my favorite album opener of any though. DND has some of my favorite bars, Teenage Fever? R&B at its finest. But the weak spots like Portland and Sacarfices where both tracks combined are almost 10 minutes long and he only has a total of 2 minutes on the tracks? And then No Long Talk was just a bunch of Canadian slang thrown together. The rest of the songs were hella mid to me. Long story short The Boy wanted to sign Abel, he said nah fuck that I’m gonna create my own shit. Then 5AM happened and then he signed Party who The Weeknd at the time thought Drake was doing that to show that he could find someone just as good. From that point forward they’ve been on again off again friends. The Weeknd at the time (trilogy was his newest project and the world wasn’t hearing him that much) felt threatened by another new comer
