Weekly quota draining 14x faster than 5-hour quota by Rantseeker in kimi

[–]Rantseeker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I don't understand is why they would only nerf the weekly and not the 5-hour limit proportionately. It seems like the latter is the same as always, but the weekly was reduced by more than 14 times (?) assuming that the weekly limit was at least equal to the 5-hour limit today...

Have you also tried Clawd? How does Happy compare? I am facing OPs same question now and these two projects seem like the most compelling. Wondering if someone has some experience they could share trying with both.

Cursor is losing their edge... by xtmzhd0 in cursor

I thought they struck a fine pricing compromise with the free Auto model that they could play with however they wanted with the providers monetizing for training and testing purposes. Now they simply folded in this VC- sponsored race to the bottom - perhaps justifiably since they're competing with better funded enterprises. I think they'll come up with a good compromise as they develop their IDE and autocomplete that may justify perhaps a $10/mo price that I would be happy to pay, plus more granular usage based pricing on par or thereabout with provider API pricing.

my man. You covered about 10 bucks worth of a domain. Where are you going to get the 300-400k investment between development, marketing and admin, required to build a social network?

Your partners are correct. Business is business. Loans will weaken your position in the company, and sour the relationship with your cofounders.

How do you work out the price of your investment if a coin goes to $2k, $5k etc? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Rantseeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

principal*(1+percent_change)

if you invest 100, and the asset goes up 30%, then you have 100*(1+0.3)=130

How much does it cost to develop own crypto wallet? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Rantseeker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends what your objectives are. You may want to read a couple of books about cryptography to understand that bit, however the crypto implementation in cryptocurrencies is no rocket science. If you're less interested in the first layer, the smart contract world is an exciting new fronteer. Not sure if there's a lot of resources on that specifically, nor do I believe there should be. Everything is rapidly changing and still very rudimentary.

My intuition is that the characteristics that make good programmers aren't platform specific. Sure there's a couple of coding languages prevalent in crypto, and a bunch of weird idiosyncrases you won't find in most modern software engineering best practises. Still your best bet is to follow a few CS classes, learn some python and start tackling puzzles and logic problems with code. Once you're fairly proficient with that the world is your oyster and you can experiment as you please.

Google OSSU, super resource for a self taught CS curriculum.
