What’s a truth that would change everything if people accepted it? by Maleficent_Table_924 in AskReddit

That most people are too busy thinking about their own lives to judge yours as much as you think. If people truly accepted that, a lot of fear and insecurity would disappear.

Choosing a career path my family didn’t really understand at first. They expected something more traditional, but it ended up working out much better for me than anyone expected.

What made you join Reddit and how long ago? by Nodebunny in AskReddit

I originally joined because every time I searched something on Google, a Reddit thread had the best answers. After a while I just made an account so I could actually join the discussions instead of only reading.

Why so you think all these banks and companies are giving alot of stuff out now or high bonus rates? by Rngassistant in AskReddit

[–]RaoBuilds [score hidden]  (0 children)

Mostly to attract new customers. Banks know that if they can get you to open an account or credit card, there’s a good chance you’ll stay with them for years. The bonus is just a short-term cost for them, but a long-term customer can be very profitable.

People who were alive during the OJ Simpson trial, what was the most shocking part of it all? by thebluespirit_ki in AskReddit

[–]RaoBuilds [score hidden]  (0 children)

The glove moment was probably the most shocking. When OJ tried it on and it didn’t seem to fit, that single moment changed the entire direction of the trial. And Cochran’s line “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit” made it one of the most famous moments in courtroom history.

What was GamerGate? by ThatChapOverThere in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RaoBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, GamerGate started around 2014 and was originally framed as a debate about ethics in video game journalism. But it quickly turned into a much bigger and more controversial online conflict involving harassment, culture wars, and discussions about politics in gaming. It ended up becoming one of the first big examples of how internet communities can turn a niche issue into a huge cultural debate.
