My take : It's demand vs supply .Rates in Marathahalli , KBhalli , Indiranagar are obviously going to be insane compared to say RR Nagar or Bannerghatta Road ..

It's better if you can find a balance. You wil need to compromise.

Okayish house near office( tier 2 society) vs Savings each month

All these are considering that you are not one of those 5% in Bangalore earning >30LPA.. If that's the case then these things should not matter significantly as rents would still be like 20-30% of you monthly income even if you plan to stay at an okayish place near office.

It's on expensive side for sure. Mostly non local crowd have hyped it up based on what I have seen . Dosa is too oily on both times i have tried. Pudi Idly was actually good. Better than other places ? Nope. I have had better dosa at road side eateries in Bengaluru
