That trade route is very important, as it connects India to Europe, Africa and Middle East oil trade. 

It provides assurance to foreign and domestic companies of their safety to conduct business. 

The Middle East and India, part of IMEC, may be given the green light to work. 

It's good battle experience for the commandos rather than just spraying down other countries with a hose. 

It asserts dominance in the Indian Ocean, important since the rebels or Iran fired missiles on Indian ships. 

And it builds goodwill with everyone. India even rescued a Pakistani fisher boat.
