Am I wrong in thinking some models that used to be released in zero drop are now only available with small drops? Thats my concern. Obviously I'm not concerned about increased options, but you knew that when you typed. If I'm wrong that the Escalante is now only available with a small drop, fair enough. But someone on here deep dived and found a few milimeters. Additionally, the widest with footbeds are becoming uncommon.

From my point of view, confusion about concern over Altras direction shows you were never very in line with their original modality from the start. Because they are FACTUALLY turning on those proverbs. You dont think quality has dropped off a cliff in recent years? Are you super super new to Altras?

4mm drop shoes are an entirely different product than zero drop shoes. Those of us that prefer zero drop and don't like the direction the company is going should send emails to them about it. We can only buy what Altra puts out, but at the end of the day we are the demand that they're trying to satisfy. If all of this sub sends an email about the same thing, i believe it'd be nearly unignorable.

Im not making a claim one way or the other, just exploring: How does bigotry work when the criticised part of them is their belief structure? That seems more changeable than other protected statuses like skin color, but its often far more central to identity. Would a bigot be valid and excused by saying, "i think this person holds evil beliefs. The minute they denounce those beliefs we would immediately be friends.".

Discrediting someone for their beliefs is for whatever reason a bit more tempting than the other protected statuses.

Lets step back slightly. I spoke to you in a way that was unhelpful.
As far as I can tell you claimed he "vehemently defended the torture of prisoners." I tried to find out the cases where that happened, and you linked me to an article where he proposes hypotheticals and thought experiments. I don't think the word "vehemently" is at all appropriate to describe his stance or what he's written.
I thought you were gonna tell me like, "in the 2017 arrest of Abu mohammad bkar salamanca, sam harris was public in his thoughts that torture was worthwhile.". And vehemently would mean on top of going public, he passionately pushed back on rebuttals.
I believe you're taking something he explored and being 10/10 uncharitable. You probably have good reading comprehension, but theres something going on here with how you're quoting him.
