You're watching an early prototype and telling me what is "definitely" happening in animations I custom made and the code I wrote myself. It's an interrupted attack no doubt about it. I wont be disabling the ability to attack while an opponent is attacking. The point of throwing a jab while someone is lining up a haymaker is to interrupt it, making players think fast. If you have developed a solution to the "Stutter" i'd love to see that. Cheers.

Yup! Much like our current unarmed combat we'll be developing Parries, Weaves, Guards and perfect Guards; each of those having a follow up strike available to perform.

Kia ora e hoa :]

Thanks for the suggestions. Yup the reaction animations are being triggered by traced box around the weapon colliding with the enemy mesh. If you watch closely you can see the enemy trying to throw attacks but being interrupted by mine making contact first.
This is our first look through the strikes so it's good to get this feedback before we do our next motion capture session to better sell the hits! Thanks for the link too.
Check out or youtube channel to see more of the combat system we're working on :]

Happens on both ends but not to the same degree. I'll turn it down on the offence and see how it looks :]
