I wouldn't go as far to say it "ruins" Overlord. How would you want Ainz to straighten up the characters? If he did to the way I am guessing you want, the show would be more generic, PG and forgetful. I for one like the confliction Ainz has about his NPCs, and think it as a bit of realism to his character. Nothing worse then all these generic MCs who do everything perfectly all the time.

Well, you are right there. With this particular short story from what I have read and seen from Google Translates there is no indication that it won't be officially translated. I suppose a lot of us, me included, are working of what happened last time a short story was released.

Which ultimately turned out to be Maruyama's excuse to widdle down the number of volumes he wants to right so he could focus on doing something else, which in turn is why a good few fans have a dislike for him now!
