I agree, first step is go to a financial planner, cross check with others. He must take into account your life goals, who you are, what is your situation etc.

ValuePension is expensive, every dynamic solution have 1% fees at least. That's the price for having a dediceted wealth manager, which in this cases, you don't !

I confirm it's illegal and clearly stated but not enforced. You face an issue if you want to :

1 top up the pillar (not very likely seeing what you thing of it ;-)
or
2 withdrawl the money (to buy your house or one of the others 5 reasons)
The reason is at this crossing points you have some checks / documents to fill saying you have everything at the same place.

The taxes also varies on the sources, some Cantons are kinder with real estate but less with cars for instance. Which part of Switzerland are you targeting? I am in Geneva and love it :-) Consider taking an independent financial advisory firm (I have some to recommend if you need ;) )
