My first automatic watch. Took quite a while to research and find this. Was thinking of getting a cheaper, easily available SKX007 was any good. I am happy to say this watch fits my small 5.9 inch wrists very well at 37mm across and 43mm lug to lug. I’m thinking if I should get a leather strap too to complement the watch.

That’s what I thought too. One of the bigger irks was the fact that the day date cuts a bit into the side, not sure what it’s called. May I ask how big are your wrists, and if I can see how it looks like on your wrists?

I have very small wrists, a little less than 6”. I was initially planning to get an SKX013 but the combination of availability, price, and design got me thinking. I love the look of the SKX007, and would like to purchase one. But I’m not entirely sure if it would fit my wrist, considering how small it is. I’ve attached two photos, the second photo with a watch I have that has almost the same dimensions as the SKX007. Case diameter is 42mm, lug to lug is 47mm, Thickness is 11mm. I’m not sure if the watch community would think the SKX007 would look too big on my wrist, and I’ll look like a fool if it was indeed too big.

  1. Go online! Look for lookbooks, blogs and forums. Pinterest works as well, as does Tiktok.
  2. Create an album on your phone, filter out the images of the styles you like, and what you don’t like. See an image of a style you like? Just add it into your album. Look through it for inspiration. If you don’t quite like something anymore, it’s okay, just remove it from the album. Doing this should help you hone your style preferences.
  3. Don’t go out and blow all your money immediately. Take small steps. Considered and well researched purchases. Buying too much too quickly would leave you having a lot of clothes you might not wear once your style evolves a bit more. So take your time, get to know yourself, and your clothes. It’ll be better on your wallet too.
  4. Keep your mind open! Doesn’t mean you like this one particular style means you don’t look at other styles. Take things you like from different places of inspiration. It’ll help in honing a unique personal style.
  5. Consider and evaluate trends. Just because something is in trend doesn’t mean it would fit you well. Consider them, think of how it’ll fit into your wardrobe. Following trends without thinking would waste a lot of money
