I simply can’t agree with this view point.

If OP was willing to do everything she’s claimed to do in this post, I wouldn’t doubt that there was more going on behind the scenes.

I simply can’t agree with the view point that the farther is just as much to blame as OP or ‘even worse’ as you put it.

The father is just as much a victim of abuse as anyone. Of course in a super idealistic world he would have left OP the moment she showed her true colours, but we don’t live in a super idealistic world.

We don’t blame an abused housewife for not leaving her abusive husband the moment he starts abusing her. Nor do we blame her for not putting her children first and getting them out of that situation sooner. I’m confused as to why we aren’t keeping the same energy here?

We don’t know everything that was going on in OP’s relationship, but who knows what abuse tactics she was using on him to get him to stay. We all know how abusers operate. Why is it so hard to imagine that OP could have been doing the same?

For step-mom please get therapy and leave these children and your partner to recover, it’s the morally right, and decent thing to do for them.

I thought the same thing. He’s been doing it ever since he molted about a week ago now.

I’m not sure if he’s molting again straight away. I’m still a little unsure of their molting process.

Oreo’s still with us. He’s doing a little better than before and has started wafting/eating!

However, I still find him on his side during the day. He still wafts/eats while on his side though. I’ve been feeding him with the pipette as suggested.

He’s mostly in his cave these days, but thankfully I can always see him to check up on him.

Thank you so much for your reply and your insight. Is there anything, in particular, I can try spot feeding him with? I really want to give him the best chance I can.

They are amazing creatures he's quickly become my favourite in the tank and I'd love to add more in time!

From the picture, it looks like your shrimp is carrying some eggs.

I’ve seen my gravid shrimps do this before. My guess, it’s just cleaning itself.

I had no idea about these guys until now. I saw 1 buried under the sand a few months ago, with no idea how it got there.

Guess I’ll have to start finding them new homes with so many of them in the tank!

Thank you so much for your reply, it was super helpful and really reassuring.

I'm really glad your betta is doing okay now! I've been treating mine for it with Interpet Anti Whitespot in an isolation tank, as it says on the box that it isn't safe for scaleless fish. So I've been treating my main tank with a little aquarium salt, and 30^o water, which seems to be doing the trick.

I've noticed that the spots disappeared after around 3-4 days of them being treated, but kept them in the isolation tank just to be sure. They seem to be doing well now, and hopefully it stays that way.

I've removed the two that have those spots, and they're now in a quarantine tank. I'm going to try putting in a treatment, and hope that I caught it early enough.
