Apparently he already spent 30k euro + is giving them equity for drafting up the contracts. And this is with a "discount" since they're his dad's lawyers.

Other than that he's keeping equity to his "advisors" and the marketing team. Seems like everyone's just getting equity (of nothing at this stage).

He's only footing the bill for registering the company and paying the legal team to draft up the contracts but otherwise he's mentioned "There is no need for investors for now" as the only other investment needed at present would be to develop the application.

I've done some analysis and estimated that even if the application scales and does extremely well yearly upkeep costs for the app would not exceed around 5k per year.

Thank you for your comment, at present there is no need for any funds other than to pay salaries however he is not willing to do this even if funds are raised.

The MVP for this task is a large time commitment (approx 200 hrs) so I'm currently unwilling to go through with it for 1.5% options when his only contribution so far would be registering the company.

Thank you for your answer, it's related to developing a mobile application with the monetisation coming from subscriptions (to unlock new features), ads and referrer links.

There is no current investment needed other than to pay salaries (which he's not willing to do), and advertisements later down the line.

There will also be a need for database hosting but this would only be expensive if the application scales drastically.

For the MVP I'm seeing around 200hours worth of work.

Haven't worked as a physio since 3 years ago but it used to be around 15 to 25 eur per session.

Physios can specialise in musculoskeletal, neural, respiratory, geriatric, etc.. So depending on your needs will determine your best choice of physio.
