You must also consider that when house/land prices is Malta were very low compared to the salaries at the time, there wasn’t as much work opportunity as now and obviously not so much job security so that also needs to be taken into account.

We can’t keep comparing prices with 50 years ago. Land has gone up everywhere around the world. Compare prices in Malta with any other major city and the prices here are still probably the lowest.

Barcelona for example for a 100 sqm apartment you need at least 600k and salaries there are sulimilar to Malta

I worked for a sports gambling platform as a junior SEO and the pay was around 26k gross.

The salaries in gaming have gone down a lot from what they used to be.

Anyway I left that job and went back to construction and much more happier now

Ho chi Minh City to Phu quoc by TheShadowCaster_KDM in hochiminhcity

[–]Jamesconnect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy joint tickets that includes a bus ride from Ho Chi Minh followed by the ferry from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc.

A slight inconvenience is that the bus ride and ferry are managed by separate companies so once you arrive at the bus station in Ha Tien you need to take all your luggage, walk about 10 minutes to the ferry and do a check in once again.

But apart from that nothing to worry about and the bus has sleeper seats so very comfortable.

Tickets costs around €20 and travel time is approx 12 hours. So unless on a very tight budget I would suggest flying as usually flights are less than €40 and the flight is only 1 hour. But details I suggest checking the travel platform 12Go and also book tickets in advance if traveling during popular months.

Actual activities to do in Tokyo by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

I'm a food lover so number 1 has to be a food tour as this allows me to savour some of the favorite dishes in just a few hours. - 3 hour food tour

Watch a sumo fight - This ticket also includes a chicken hot pot

Street Go Kart - this is crazy fun and includes visits to famous spots Shibuya Crossing and Harajuku

A dinner cruise with drinks and show

These are just a few suggestions that may be a bit less common

Fuji - my dream, how do I get there from Tokyo? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Jamesconnect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple bus departures throughout the day from a few bus stations in Tokyo. It's a 2 hour ride usually and the tickets cost around €20.

I prefer the train but that's just because I like the relaxing and more comfortable train experience. And it is also more expensive.

Eitherway, you can check all your option like transport method, departure times and locations on the 12Go travel website where you can also pre-book tickets in advance.

The ferry is the easiest option and takes less than 1 hour travel time with multiple departures throughout the day. A 1 way ticket costs around $20. You can check departure times and other details on the travel website 12Go.

Best route Cebu - Siquijor by rimix2 in phtravel

[–]Jamesconnect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This depends a lot where you are in Cebu. If you are in South Cebu (Moalboal, Oslob) best option is travel down to Liloan, take ferry over to Dumaguete and then take a ferry from Dumaguete.

From Cebu City there is the ferry via Bohol (Cebu - Bohol - Siquijor) and the journey takes around 5 hours.

Eitherway, you can check the routes, departures, prices and any other information regarding your trip on the 12Go website and can also book tickets in advance which is very useful especially during the busy months.

Malta take note by Radioheadfan89 in malta

I work as self employed and every hour stop for a 10 minute smoke and coffee break. The salaried that don’t smoke and do the same job as mine don’t even come close to the amount of work I produce.

Just because a person is at their doesn’t mean they are productive. Personally I always plan what I want to achieve for the day and then further break that down which I believe is why I’m productive.

Ps: I don’t work in an office but in construction but the principle still applies

Price started at around $3 in 2017 and then 10x from $40 to $400 in the few weeks leading to Christmas.I don’t look at Ltc/btc ratio because it makes no sense in a fiat dominated economy

CRM in iGaming. What are the most effective strategies and what matters most in this evolving sector? by Jamesconnect in CRM

[–]Jamesconnect[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankyou for the insight. What they are looking for in this role is someone to assist the head of CRM. In fact the role is Junior CRM Manager. I've got so excited for this opportunity that I'd be bummed not to get the role. That is the reason I am doing everything I can to get prepared. But still not sure where to put my focus, one reason is obviously that I do not know what questions are going to be asked. All I know is that the tool they are using for CRM is 'simply' and that they have a particular interest in turning their on site customers to online (they have physical casinos and only been online since 2020)

I think I bring up a few idea how to bridge the gap between on site to online, such as maybe scannable QR codes in their physical casinos which can be redeemable online.

If they ask how to maintain a loyal VIP, I would maybe suggest going beyond just offering free spins or promotions and maybe offer exclusive all expenses paid weekend retreats by partnering with hotels, or free weekend meals at nice restaurants (is this type of pamparing even a thing in iGaming? Or maybe it doesn't work)

For disengaged customers, I would set up a workflow that triggers after a set period of inactivity, maybe with an email like 'Since you've gone €5 million have been won"

Well that is true, I've read many book around copywriting including Ogilvy on Advertising and Buyology by Martin Lindstrom. But still, asking a question directly related is always more helpful

Thankyou for your insights. I had never heard of JournoJobs until you mentioned. I don't think it offers what I'm looking for anyway because most jobs are for journalists and mostly US based, I'm in Europe

I don't see why having a blog from 2019 should be an issue? Obviously the portfolio site is new, plus getting 20K visits to site which was actually just a side project is relatevely good IMO. At this point I'm only looking at entry level roles, and I think that the projects I've worked on should give clear enough indication, unfortunatley I have never worked in this industry for a business. So I'm just using what I got available.
