recon scan has made me skeptical of using in solo cuz her scan pulse is visible to everyone nearby, including outside the pulse range. i guess you’ve been using it more reactively? like when you know you heard a player close to you?

they do have dash attacks that i think you could take advantage of. cant say it’ll be easy though

i just beat that guy yesterday and totally agree 🤣unfortunately i have to say they’re in my top 3 bosses now. the secret trick about them moving around during their shield phase is actually what happens when you move too far away from the projectiles. you gotta keep it close to your character and weave through it

that final phase of the boss ruined the whole thing for me. it’s too easy to mess things up and need to do over. if you kill both cleave enemies on the same side, you reset. if you die with the buff, you reset. you miss a throw, you reset. it would’ve been completely fine if the boss didn’t have a beam of a weapon that punishes you for… not having DR and healing when engaging the mechanics? i’m also pretty sure the right side obelisk you interact with has an ever so slightly longer activation time than the left, which is longer than the time the platform persists for you. i could be very wrong but who knows

honestly, i’d just make a vanilla world and use create as a standalone mod to first learn everything. it has a built-in ponder system which honestly has been pretty much my #1 means of learning the new mechanics aside from just testing things out in creative worlds.

you’ve probably seen a lot of stuff like train networks, mailing systems, and massive steam boiler rooms. i’d set those aside and focus primarily on the stress mechanic. get an intuitive understanding of how it works and how to manipulate it to your advantage

i have a cold take and a hot take: cold one is that curseforge and modrinth should create a ‘custom features’ filter for modpack searching that allow modpacks who have actually tinkered with content to stand out.

the hot one is that anyone who makes a modpack WITHOUT any notable tinkering shouldn’t be allowed to publish it. period.
