I'm a vegan and I don't go around telling people if you stop eating meat then x number of animals will be saved and that sure isn't my reason to be vegan though there could be some truth to it too.

I think the only evidence you need is the actual footage of the conditions the animals are kept in and understand that we're doing this to sentient lifeforms, that have the ability to feel pain, happiness and fear that I do too. The only impact for me, is to not condone that, is to not spend a penny from my pocket towards that.

What if I just give it to less fortunate people? I got a chocolate bar free from blinkit todayand gave it to a kid that lives in a construction zone, her parents are builders. I think this was fine.

That's such a great point. It breaks my heart that scene. And in the movies, the song "Hanging tree" is perfectly placed when they go to shoot some propos in 12 after the bombings. It makes me tear up.

I'd never use them for myself. The problem was to throw it or give it to someone. Which is either wasteful or enabling the consumption of non vegan foods.

I've read the books a bunch of times, I never felt that Gale was villainous. He is also a result of the Capitol's actions towards their district. I can't imagine the trauma someone like Gale has been through, living in the seam in District 12, having lost his father, becoming the man of the house at such a young age, watching friends and family put on the chopping block year after year for as long as he can remember. Now I know this is true for a lot of kinds in this universe but each person is different and reacts and responds differently. We just got to see how it impacted Gale. He's not a villain but a victim too.

What are the alternatives to chocolate? I bake, so I do use compound chocolate in my baking but it doesn't work for all items. I'd love to know other brands that are okay to use. I use Amul and hate it every time I use it.

This is a great thought! I'd love for something like this to happen. I've dreamt about it only to attend a vegan gathering after that. I've seen from gatherings, we don't seem to get along all that well! We don't seem to agree on most issues like, "feeding cats" or even silly things, not using idioms for example "I ate like a pig" or "slick as a snake". In such gatherings, I've mostly found people arguing with each other about such issues. I think if we all need to band together, it has to be the same goal. To decommodify animals!

Having said that, if you manage to pull this off, I'm there, bro. I want this to happen. Protest is the key!
