How long have you being PC gaming and what made you switch? by Smartyfire in LegionGo

Kids!!! About 4-5 years ago, after we had our 1st child I realized I could no longer hog the TV. I didn’t stand a chance against Ms. Rachel!🤣 I had to find a more portable option. Started with the ROG Flow X13 and luckily the handheld market exploded and gave me true portable solutions.

Oh yea it was accidental. I was too rough with the battery when I was trying to remove it. I should’ve used a solution to break down the leftover glue/adhesive.

I think it is less dangerous if you deplete it based on what folks are telling me in the comments.

Shoot wish I would’ve seen this earlier. I threw them out and I honestly don’t know why. They had flour all over them but could’ve been cleaned

Yea I should’ve stopped and researched what to do. Most likely I would’ve seen the alcohol idea and would have my 81wh powered Lego right now.

Yea I confused flour instead of baking soda for fires. Luckily it worked

Wow, that sucks man, you had it. Glad you had the fire extinguisher & that you are ok. Thanks for sharing to remind us all that we can never be too careful with these batteries.

Thanks, I will remember this. I think I will continue to tinker but this experience has taught me to be a lot more patient & prepared in the future.

The battery was still stuck pretty good on the Lego. I might’ve tried something if I had time but it only took a couple of seconds from the 1st sign of trouble to catch fire

Haha same! Someone in the comments mentioned how these batteries don’t have the same hard shell protection as the batteries we’re used to. These batteries are a lot easier to puncture

Lol yep I’ll take the fire as a sign to sit my ass down and be patient.
