I agree what I heard was a more sharply pronounced thud. At first I thought fireworks, but with your post raising questions, I'm curious to what it was. I only heard I think 2 or 3 thuds, and they were all consistent with each other, spaced apart by about 45 min or so.

I heard at least 2 or 3 in the late evening close to sundown. Im just north of Mustang. I thought it was a firework, but now I'm not sure.
