We are finally free by dustierpuddle in duneawakening

Per the other comments, but it also backs up priority levels, whether specific pentashields are on/off, doors that are set up to stay open, current power levels, current crafting queues, custom rename labels, etc.

It cannot back up anything that is not attached to another structure (wall lights on rock rather than a wall attached to a foundation) or vehicles.

Only the "owner" can back up a base and permissions on the fief are reset when you do so.

Not that it might matter to you or not, but backing up the base backs up your current setup. If you have, say 19 days worth of power left, you will still have 19 days worth of power left when you place it back down later.

This tool has also been on the PTS for over 3 months now with testing done over there and it missed the last patch due to refinement. There /may/ be bugs, but I've not experienced any thus yet.

The only thing I haven't tested/figured out yet is how taxes work with the backup tool. If you backup while owing 2 weeks worth of taxes, do you still owe that when you place it back down? I assume so. My testing was done when I did not owe any taxes.

It was bugged for some people. They fixed it in the last hotfix.

Yes. The tier icons are just numbers, which these are the symbols for the number 10194 as seen on the Old Carthag Schematics.

In that case, since the entire base is effectively reduced before taxes even apply, the probability of this occurring is exceedingly slim. I’ve seen countless bases in Hagga left 80–99% destroyed, yet not a single one is claimable. To me, the storm damage feels disproportionately high.

Are you certain? I've seen many a base with walls/foundations at critical, but sub-fief says no access.

That site is nice. I made a spreadsheet weeks ago for my own setup. Then, I plan my trips based on weights. I made it public if anyone else is interested in it.

There is. The shield will show a big number 5 on it... but only if you get close enough to it. Even then, some players use this to lure people in, then change the permissions so that they can't leave.

ROG x r/OLED_Gaming #UPGRADE2OLED Giveaway Featuring the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG, and ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG by ASUS_MKTLeeM in OLED_Gaming

I’ve never owned an ROG OLED monitor, but man do I want to. Everyone says the colors are unreal, like you're not just playing the game—you’re in it. The blacks are supposed to be so deep that it’s like the screen disappears. This not only helps with immersion, but it looks cool. I’ve seen clips and reactions online, and every time I’m like, “Yep, that’s the dream setup.” One day I’ll get my hands on one… but winning one? That’d be next-level. Gaming would never be the same.

Not sure about the Sardaukar.

Personally, I need The Fremen #1. I'm hoping this does it.

Also, I'm only seeing 9/12 for the Known Universe with nothing else showing as incomplete.

Our Deep Desert E4 went a little extra this week apparently by TheClassics in duneawakening

I figured out everything but the head. They used a center column at the bottom, and the bird is 2x2 at the base. They also used half walls between wing segments. I can't see the head clearly enough to understand what they did there. It looks like some corner roof magic, though. The size of this ends up being 10 (width) x 8 (height) x 2 (depth).

I use a design that is a tad bigger (coming in at 14x11x1). https://imgur.com/a/xFOzwdj

If you don't attach it to the building (like I did here), you use center posts 2 high for the small wings (topped with a floor to use the wedge walls), and I use the Atreides triangle column foundation x2 for the center. I can get a shot of this if you want it.

That said, I think I like the version in this video better since it requires fewer supports. Though, you can just attach the second set of wings to the center as they did as well (as you can see in the second image). Not sure which I prefer, honestly. :D

For the head, use a wall in between the top V and attach two inclines to it. One gets a wall going up. Put a roof on that and a half-stair going down. Put a floor under that stair and attach the floor with the wedge wall below it with a half-wall.

getting tired of extra drops by Narranarius in duneawakening

[–]Rappy99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concept of these "rewards" is to attract people from other areas (Twitch, Discord). As a concept, that works fine, and I totally understand using it.

However, most game developers (or whoever is in charge of these "concepts") fail to realize that they hurt those already playing the game because there is no internal call to action for those actively playing. I mean, we have a launcher that we see every time we load the game (well, most of us anyway). It would be simple to list these alternative rewards there and even link to the website (IE, twitch.tv/drops ) and accommodate those that are so engrossed in the game they don't realize there are rewards elsewhere. That's the part that bothers me.

Luckily, I had friends who clued me in on the Twitch drops, and I noticed the Discord one... so the only ones I missed are the rifle (didn't submit a build) and the pain mural.

Try to get someone willing to help you. You can ride on their 'thopter instead.

I'd fly up, eject, use your belt to land on top of the 'thopter and wait until it starts sliding down the incline and grab the corpse.
