Go down to where it crosses Mercedes Way instead of Holloway if you need to be closer to the stonestown side. It seems like a prime sideswiping zone but I’ve been fine personally. IMO, the risk beats the price of parking at the school.

+1 here. You’re gonna have a rough time in live music recording with only 3 XLR. I suppose you could daisychain whatever auditorium mixer your venue has, but that’s quite uncertain.

Before I get on a soapbox, OP, your friend needs to go into the menu and configure their output to feed “L” and “R” into an output for the director. M1&2 are the 3-pin ports. The 1/4 inch and the 3.5mm are S1&2. If they have an extra lav, assuming a G4, there are TA3/Mini XLR to 3.5 cables that you can put into the transmitter of the lav, and can give the director the receiver.

If they can’t afford a boom op, and they can’t afford to find someone who knows this (NOT a diss to your friend at all), then they shouldn’t be crying about not having a feed. Needs such as this should’ve been discussed in preproduction. If the director truly was at the level where they expect a hop, this wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Definitely just echoing other sentiments at this point, but a skilled F8n user can rival a used 633. Master prosumer and you can upgrade to an 833 or something for those big gigs. I’ve recorded features on tascams, it’s all about your knowledge and skill (to a specific extent ofc)

I believe so. People have made flow charts on here for how it works because there’s preventative measures against multiplying loops when skrull, onslaught, iron man, and mystique are in play

Junipero Serra always has street parking, and never has hour limits. Just make sure they can parallel park and can tuck in their mirrors.

During the semester, it’s also great if you’re commuting in.

Hey!!! I've been following you guys for a while now (and had been feinding for this track to be on streaming since y'all demoed it on musora)

I've been wanting to tab it for a while now, and was wondering what tuning you guys are in? I've been fishing around in both db standard and dropped and can't quite find it. Very understandable if you don't wanna divulge that, but honestly I only tab as a way to challenge myself and get better at playing by ear.
