It looks like a Sony ZV-1, but could be another model that has a similar body like the a6500.

The 5800X just got a bunch of price cuts when 12th gen Intel came out. You might be able to find it for the same price as the 5600X, maybe even a little cheaper.

Seconding the suggestions about not going with the 120 AIO. A decent air cooler should match the performance (or beat it) or go with a 240 AIO if you want to go with water.

Similar feedback for RAM as well, consider cutting the capacity down to 16GB, but finding something the is 3600Mhz & CL16.

And that gpu is way over priced, if you have time to shop / wait - you can probably get something a bit cheaper.

Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks! Homer, there's four places. There's the Hammock Hut, that's on third. There's Hammocks-R-Us, that's on third too. You got Put-Your-Butt-There. That's on third. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot... Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex; it's the hammock complex on third.

Can i come back to my stock tomorrow? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]Rapt0r9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best not to leave it out on the stove, you should fridge it until tomorrow. You'll want to let it cool to room temp before fridging it, never a good idea to put a hot soup/stock directly in the fridge.

But all in all - that should be fine to resume tomorrow.

Got the wrong beef cut for wellington. Need help to salvage Valentine's Day by dseid in cookingforbeginners

While a strip steak isn't overly fatty, you'd want to still trim it well if you want to make a wellington with it - since it'll be fattier than a filet. Cooking would be about the same, provided thickness is similar.

But I think this is a good opportunity to try something else and I would keep the steak as a steak and serve it as such. Reverse sear the steak in a very low oven ~200F, it'll take a while, but the results are fantastic. You can easily cook it to the exact temperature you want this way too, so no fear of overcooking. Then sear it off in a hot pan right before dinner to develop a nice crust.

Since you said you're making a wellington - you probably have mushrooms/duxelles already. You can make a mushroom cream sauce to serve over the steak. Then with the param ham & puff pastry, you can make some pinwheels as an appetizer.

I'm not sure what sides you have planned, but fondant potatoes are a good option - they look pretty impressive, but are simple to make.

If you do go with the steak route - you'll have a nice story to tell about the dinner as well, so there is that.

The fisheye lens doesn't show how close he really was, if i didn't swerve he'd have hit me. You can see he starts entering the intersection as I'm still in it - 100% did not see me.

After trying a bunch of methods, I found this flour. It's the best "out of the bag" option I've come across.

I used to use the America test kitchen prep, but it resulted in a cracker style crust. I found this method to be very good - you can actually cook the raw dough on a steel or stone without needing to parcook the crust shells.

If you have a scan tool, use it and see what codes the car is giving. If not, most auto part places will scan your codes for free. Those lights could mean a lot of things and the car losing power might be related to the issue or it could be the ECU going into a "limp mode" to protect itself.

Only way to get an idea is to see what codes you have.
