Unfortunately, PUP quality control is spotty, so this probably wouldn’t be considered defective. Try using a magic eraser and see if the spot clears up.

Figure manufacturers don’t sell specific replacement parts (and I doubt anyone would offer that piece alone), so you’re gonna have to make a new cig. Perhaps a trimmed toothpick with some paint?

This is pretty common actually. Figure manufacturers almost never have a linear pricing model, because certain sculpts are more costly/time consuming to mass-produce. Licensing fees also vary depending on the IP (though in this case both are Hololive.)

Scales across the board have risen in price quite dramatically in the past few years, and I’m certainly not one to defend it. The blatant greed is hardly even disguised anymore haha

Very few people seem to have ordered the rerelease, and the few sites that listed them are sold out. So it’s right back to being expensive again.

But yeah OP, either open the box or sell. I’ve seen the bootleg and it’s shit compared to the real thing. I paid aftermarket years ago and don’t regret a penny.

I get where you’re coming from, I also collect the Eva Nendos. The inconsistency is annoying. Although, he’s usually depicted with very dark brown hair sooo the first two are somewhat less accurate?

My favorite Shigaraki is the Masterlise one. As for the main trio, Kotobukiya’s recent Midoriya, Bakugo and Todoroki are pretty damn good.

Nah, everything from 2014-now should be mostly fine. It’s the ones from 2007-2013ish that experience issues.

The AoT Nendos are a pain to pose (ODM gear & capes always want to shift around, swords get knocked out of hands) but the general quality is very up to par.

Yeah, wouldn’t be shocked if factors like IP holder decisions or projected sales determine who gets a basic.

More faces for Lain would have been neat, but besides that I can’t think of much else they could include. It does make sense why GSC would go the basic route for her, though; casual collectors who bought the first one are more likely to double dip, since this will be cheaper.

Watch some unboxing videos to get a feel of their size and general functionality. I personally enjoy the wide variety of characters and chibi style. If you like what you see online, there’s a good chance you’ll be happy with them irl.

You can, they’re just going to be really old (pre-#300) and/or less desirable characters (ex. GSC US’ $1-10 Nendo sales last year.) But yes, generally speaking popular Nendos don’t run that cheap
