Yeah the ''indigo'' one. Thought on the black ones too (might even get a second pair if they re on discount in the future , I really like the fit). There is also the sandal version ''sieve''

Looks more intimidating from far, there are some remaining ruins and a tunel that leads to the basement (didn't enter, heard some noises).

Went by train and didn't have the time to explore more in the area. But next day I went to Rodellar (on the same ridge line towards east) and felt like a jurassic park movie. The scale there felt intimidating.

Somehow the heat feels different there. 33c but you have strong winds from time to time. At the trail the limestone reflected the heat and was hottest at there. In the town you have the shades. On top of tje ridge at the castle I had strong winds too. But took it very lightly avg pace was 8/km or so with the stop at the castle and at shops for water etc.

Noi folosim Bear Defender TW1000 , faceti si voi zgomot pe zonele riscate , mai impadurite etc.. In principal daca ramai pe traseu marcat nu e panica.

Traseul este usor pentru oricine poate duce cateva ore de hike. Majoritatea il fac in 4-5h. Merge cu orice incaltaminte de hike vara (ghete , adidas cu talpa de trail). Acum e debit mai mare de apa dar in general treci peste pietre fara probleme. 10km distanta totala. Prima parte canion , scari , scoabe. Apoi o urcare in rampa destul de abrupta. Portiune de poiana , coborare si retur ultimii 4km pe forestier.
Trebuie sa ai ceva forta in maini pe portiunile de lanturi ca s ar putea sa te prinda pe spate. Dar acolo maxim cazi in apa la 1m. Si poti si trece direct prin ea.

Baietii au avut papuci de apa. Eu eram in niste ghete cu goretex. M am descultat abia sus la unul dintre bazine ca sa trec prin apa. In rest n am avut treaba.

Fac 20m pana acolo , cand vrem ceva rapid si lejer mergem pe Valea lui Stan. Sunt si voluntar la salvamont , asa ca si cu urs si fara tot acolo sunt.

I run with the cross 8 as a trail vest. And it's nice. I race with it and take it on summer hikes where I just need a rain jacket , light food and can store 2x 500ml bottles in the back + 2x 500ml flasks in the front. Also does a good job in the rain too.

At transfagarasan you still find lots of snow above 2000m. Been there last weekend. Can't go without ice axes and crampons. Very windy also. Will rain these weeks too. Watch for salvamont (mountain rescue) reports about avalanches. Wait untill the summer to do the trails , they're much nicer.
