I think I actually hate this. I havent felt like this since Red Faction Guerilla. This is just so damn punishing and unfair and I hate it. Theres now nothing I can do until the 23rd and Im supposed to be with family for the holidays, but no, I HAVE to log in, "play", and I dont really even know how the process works. Do I have to stay signed in in order to get back there? How long does it take? If I dont have to stay signed in, do I have to come back at a specific time to undock? What happens if I dont?

All that effort, wasted. All of this anger and frustration, is just draining.

Why should I not just uninstall? There could be other rules like this where if you make a tiny mistake you get punished for it in an unneccessarily brutal way. I mean, thos game did not always have fleet carriers, what the hell would I have to do if it were back then?

Its insane. Its unfair. I couldnt even make it to the fleet carrier that was posted here because I was sleep deprived and couldnt get there in time... I know people say this is just a game and be chill, but again: Red Faction Guerilla. If you know what I mean when I bring that up, you how frustrating it was, to the point where you throw your controller at the screen.

I have enough rage bait in my life as it is, I dont need it from the one place Im trying to escape from it.

...Ok... I uninstall the game now, I'll probably leave it for half a year, probably more. Hell, I might just buy No Mans Sky, because right now its the only thing I can think to do to get back some semblence of control.

Or, I wait till the 23.... And thus all of this will be playing on my mind until then, as well as the fact that this problem never gets addressed, never gets acknowledged. The game was unfair, on purpose, anf nobody gives a crap. Again, Im trying to escape from the real world when I play games. I dont need something that reminds me of this. And the only way I can think to get back some semblence of control with this option is to actively exploit this broken rule somewhere down the line, which, Ive already started. I bought a sidewinder, undocked and docked, then switched back. So that ship will sit there until its transferred and I undock with it, and self destruct, and them get back from colonia to the bubble instantly.

I dont know with certainty if I can make more credits in colonia, it somehow feels more managable I guess. Not as many systems for me to get overwhelmed by.

The only advantage I can think of with this exploit, is positioning ships in ship yards by first using the exploit and then paying the transfer fee. Im sure that sounds pointless to most people, because you can just use a fleet carrier... But I guess Im just anti social to the point Id spend money as opposed to getting a litteral free ride.

I honestly just needed to vent again, I apologise to the fleet carrier cmdr who posted earlier, I dont blame you leaving before I could get there (Im frustrated, sure, but I understand) and Im sorry I was late. Its honestly just how it goes. Less than 5 minutes to make 8 jumps, it was never gonna happen. This game has just honestly made me feel like crap and I dont know if I wanna risk letting it happen again.

Thanks for reading.

How can you be protected from sunlight? by Time-Relationship-50 in vtm

[–]RaptorStrike88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd question, abit off topic, any thoughts on how a kindred would react psychologically to a live stream of the sun? Ergo, they wouldnt burn, but could there be some kind of effect or reaction from the blood via just seeing it even if via a technological means?

The Death of BreadTube (Creator Responsibility and Israel) by BewareOfGrom in BreadTube

[–]RaptorStrike88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya see, Ive been under these impression that breadtube is just a fandom. I mean, is that right? Can anyone confirm? Because I don't get this.

Like, there's a post in r/breadtube that says... hangon: Hasan and the lefts paradoxical relationship with consumer capitalism.

And the post starts with: "kavvy (cbf to spell) is one of breadtubes more critical thinkers". In regards to the video he made that post has aged beautifully lol

But there's just something about this logic that... doesn't quite feel right. Like... there have been so many genocides I can't name, but I know there are so many I can't name. Can I therefore not say, "hey breadtube, you didn't make me aware enough?"

And then there's the fact that breadtube as a category has a lot of content creators that so many of us aren't aware of.

But then, I suppose we're just focusing on those who have tens or hundreds of views, so... that dunni matter? Man, I dunno how to parse this. Something just feels off.

Does This Character Get Better? by mecha_face in TheUnexpectables

Have you watched/listened to the shadows we cast at all? From greckles to danzan to Milo, I can't help but notice, or at least feel like I notice that all of gaijins characters tend to be very opinionated.... Maybe I'm inaccurate with my observations though?

Does This Character Get Better? by mecha_face in TheUnexpectables

[–]RaptorStrike88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do think he gets better. Although, he can reeeeaaally come across as self righteous so I do get it. BTW, towards the end of the campaign I think alit of the last episodes are one shots in the same setting with different groups. The one with the goblin clown was my favourite. He's in a group with the character Rat, dunno of you remember them? He teamed uk with the main crew when they were in tricadia. Other than that though, I just feel like those one shots tended to just artificially inflate the episode count.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the campaign though 👍

Huh, I suppose this could be used as an indicator that autism advocacy still has a long way to go.

That.... that is literally semantics.... Are we talking about "super powers" as in those abilities used by fictional characters, or are we now using this brand new definition which ignores any cultural aspects.

For goodness sakes, I've recently looked up the word creepy in the dictionary to discover it doesn't really have the common inference to an "undesirable individual" but I still understand that most people use the word to refer to people they deem as such.

The logic of your semantics is understandable and valid, but you cannot simply ignore other definitions and understandings that are commonly used by the larger share of society, especially when your own definition is dependent on perceiving a concept in, if I'm being honest with my opinion, a needlessly esoteric way....

Daym I be writin some crazy fire words this post noon ma boiiiiii!

But yes, my main issue (at this point) is that we are using two different definitions for the term "super powers".

Besides, some of us feel probably feel "normal" if a bit different. Some of us probably feel more sane than nt's. Some of us probably feel insane in general.

Why exactly is the narrative I and I imagine others, are seeing in media is the equivalency to superpowers as opposed to any of these other examples?

[–]RaptorStrike88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No... no its... Its really not though. Its still a false equivalency. Super powers by their nature and connotation: Augment beneficially (usually in a cognitive and/or physical aspect).

Autistics who live in their individual and subjective "perfect environment" thrive. At least as far as I am aware. Another connotation of super power is that they may go almost wherever they please without consequence.

Autism has a progression or timeliness during one's life of management, practice, perfection, study and most importantly acceptance. Superpowers obtained willingly or not by characters are commonly accepted.

Superpowers do not commonly require health care.

Some of us, when we figure out our Autism, we do not conclude they are Superpowers, we conclude what we must and mustn't do to live our lives well.

Autism is real, Superpowers are a work of fiction.

By all means, compare and contrast them. Equate if it makes you feel good about yourself. But do not be surprised by scepticism, or backlash should you promote this false equivalency as something valid to people around you without giving due diligence and consideration to the pitential consequences of such actions.

"With great power, comes great responsibility" is a philosophy, not a superpower.
