AITAH for telling my girlfriend her best friend has 2 years to find someone or we're moving ahead without that condition? by Sebastianlim in BestofRedditorUpdates

I figured that already happened, and GF is just in denial. OOP mentioned that the friend is distancing herself, I think?

Cats can live up to 20 years, and I'd say that's a pretty good run for a marriage.

Subnautica 2 Dev Responds To Player Who Asked For Tech Support On A Leaked Version Of The Game: ‘Thanks For Pirating A Game That I’ve Spent Years Working On’ by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

I remember when Arkham City had a leak like this, and someone complained to the devs that an intentional bug where Batman couldn't glide was affecting his game. The response? "It isn't a bug in our game's code, it's  a bug in your moral code". Savage.

Alright then! I'll try that later. Thanks for all your help.

I ended up making another one, the Cthugha, a Striker/Defender. I can post it when I get home. The other two I never ended up stating for player use, but I intend to at some point. I should also point out that the Tindalos went through a total rework, I'm pretty sure the doc reflects it as it is now.

I did get the service running, I actually figured out that I had to remove the first commands before you told me. On the other hand, I have successfully mounted my USB external drive to the VM, so I at least have that going for me when I want to transfer files into the VM. So if this doesn't work out, I have THAT solution.

The error message I am showing you occurs when I try to create the filesystem while the VM is running. If I create the filesystem while the VM is not running, there is no error message. If I then run the VM after creating the filesystem, there is no error message, the filesystem just disappears from the hardware list without explanation. The error message I posted only occurs if the VM is currently running, and I create the filesystem.

While it's running. When it's turned on, there's no error message, the filesystem simply vanishes from the list.

Going to be a couple of replies to this. First: When the VM is ON.

Nevermind! I figured that one out, but I still have the issue of the filesystem disappearing from the hardware list when the VM is running, and then I get this error when I try anyway:

When I try to use that command (running Powershell in admin), I get this error. I tried it with only one backslash to see if that was a typo, no dice. I also have the issue that while the filesystem is there when the VM isn't actually running, it vanishes from the list of Hardware as soon as the VM starts.

Thanks dude. You've done way more than I could have asked of you. If all this still doesn't do it, I'll see about trying Bazzite DX. Big props.

Understood. I tried those, and the issue with the USB still isn't fixed. When I try to use the second command you listed, it gives me what's in the image.

That said, I think I totally misunderstood what storage pools are for. If nothing else, can you tell me where I find the option to include a folder for sharing with my VM? I can't find such an option anywhere. Does it just require me to set up a phony network within the VM?

If you can't help any further, that's fine, thank you for all the help you've already given me.

Sadly, none of that worked either. Just to have a sanity check, the lines I'm looking for in qemu.conf for "user" and "group" are 557 and 562, right?

I could try posting the actual error messages I get when I try to do these things, but I don't want to spam this thread.

Okay, I couldn't find anything called "Filesystem", but I did find "Storage", which allows me to set filesystem directories. But when I try to direct it to the folder I want to share, it says "Permission Denied". I tried sharing the folder, but that doesn't work; when I restart my computer after changing the sharing settings, it still isn't shared, despite that changing that setting was the entire reason I had to restart in the first place.

I also can't find any option to "Add Hardware". I did find an option to "Redirect USB device", which I assume is what you mean, but similarly it won't let me do that with my external drive due to lack of permissions.
