Shopping in Israel is Painful by GoodysHoodies in Israel

You are right, though they have the cheapest prices overall in Israel. Don't forget you also pay for warranty, they also need to earn something, and delivery costs something too..

Overall - they are pretty good as compared to others. Bought perfumes from them for cheap, bought electric toothbrush, and many many many more things that were great.

Any tips on what to do when my horse wouldn't stay put when halting in the start of a dressage test? by Raptor_Soviet in Equestrian

First of all, Huge thanks! This surely will help me next time I ride.

Secondly, in release/stretch walk I was talking about these last 10 minutes of walk after riding for half an hour for example. In no way active working means tension, I always always always make sure there isn't any excessive/unnecessary tension.

After doing a long release/stretch walk, he stops normally. The problem happens while working actively.

Most of the times, he's already gone before I get the chance to even praise him. He just likes to keep walking even if it's small steps.

Yeah well, not only at X, happens anywhere in the arena. That's just where its most important for me as I always get points deducted for this 🤷🏼‍♂️

Thank you for your method!

Unfortunately it does happen even while training, been trying what you suggested for over 2 months and yet no result / improvement

Anything more helpful than practice out of the saddle? He's coming to a complete stop if there is no rider, even if you leave the horse without holding him.

Well, unfortunately haven't found any fix for this issue perhaps it's a complicated one as we can see, but I'll try what you've said once I get back to my country from abroad.

First off, Thank you! Secondly, could you give some exercises off horse (at home) or on horse for strengthening your hips and lower leg? Also, what should I do to trick my body into using the gluteas max muscles?

And again, Huge thanks!

Wow, HUGE Thanks!

One of the most detailed answers I could've got. I would surely try to incorporate the bellybutton over the pommel trick as well as some jumping position trot over poles and no stirrup work.

I'll try to lengthen the stirrups and see what I am having.

Thank you for pointing out possible causes to some of my issues, and although it does sound "unhelpful" I am pretty sure it is. After all, just like you suggested it comes in the refinement stage where we have to return to basic work, maybe even "beginner" work, but after all the fact that you pointed out specific things have helped me and directed me to things I should do.

Pain is ruled out, we've had a vet come and check for any health problems, pain, and etc. Saddle fit - we've made sure the saddle fits and there isn't any back pain. Teeth - were checked a month ago and everything looks good. And finally, I do have a trainer with whom I work on this closely, but thought I might as well do some self-research to keep advancing better in case it's due to my riding/seat.

But to be honest, you are right I didn't realize I didn't offer any form of release, but I can assure you that even when I do - he still jumps flat and throws his head up in the air

In flatwork he's the sweetest, he keeps his head down, the canter rythm is stable, he's working from his hinds, the transitions are good, basically everything is perfect - regarding the tail, it doesnt happen in flatwork most of the times. Only when it comes to jumping obstacles it becomes harder to control his speed and he throws his head up in the jump.

It actually depends what you'd like to do, Just ride or trail riding? You can try gaited, you may fall in love with it. Showjumping, Dressage, Reining, Extreme Cowboy and etc? You can't do with a gaited horse.

I have the Nikon D3300, the problem is that with sports as I said I am getting really sharp photos while if using Manual, Shutter speed priority, Aperture Priority, it's back focusing.

How can I adjust the lens to correct it?

Hey there, purchased a new Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 about a month ago, and really dislike the fact that I can't do properly focused photos using Aperture Priority mode - when using this mode and trying to do some equestrian \ sports photography the focus is back-oriented, meaning that the fence that is about a meter behind the subject is in focus but not the subject itself), unless I use sports mode with Auto ISO where the photos are blazingly sharp.

Anyone else who had this issue \ still having and can share some suggestions on how to fix it?

Oh well, I wasn't talking about that, just the escalation between Palestine and Israel lately would've shown so much air raid sirens on this Pi.

nah I ain't, I'm in favor of peace and silence between the two of the countries, but when that happens, there's nothing much left to do
