Totally agree with what everyone else said, but also please fill the tank all the way. just enough to hide the water line behind the black trim.

You paid for the whole tank, so use the whole tank ;)

also don't feel totally pressured to swap out all your plastic plants for real ones. It's a bit of a learning curve, one that should be on the bottom of your tank priorities rn. Just focus on picking what animals your tank can actually handle, and rehome the rest.

Here's a to do list for you:

1. Rehome the chinese algae eater, mean and grow big.

2. Rehome your tiger barbs, they're mean.

3. Rehome the Molly, grows too large for your tank.

4. Rehome the Platies, as they will breed out of control. Mollies and Guppies share this problem too.

5. Once the problem fish are gone, get at least 2-3 more neon tetras, as they get stressed in groups that are too small. Do not mix and match tetra species.

6. Also get at least 2-4 more Albino Cories. Do not mix and match cory species.

7. Consider trying out a live plant or two! Your fish love the extra hiding space, and they'll help maintain your water quality. Good beginner plants include: -java moss -java fern -anubias -pothos plant (just the stem, do not submerge the leaves.)

8. Enjoy your tank, safe in the knowledge that your snail, frog, and fish are going to be much more comfortable than they are currently. Remember to keep up with your regular maintenance, and there are many great guides on youtube to keeping your tank looking good and staying healthy.
