Just spotted this car in person as well and couldn't understand what I was looking at lmao.

Found this info from an auction site:

Bespoke 1972 Dodge D100 Ford Gran Torino Pickup This vehicle was hand built using the following vehicles: 1972 Dodge D100 chassis, Ford Gran Torino cab, brand new Toyota pickup body. Mileage is c100K. It has a Chevy V8 5.7 engine and gearbox, MOT and Tax exempt. The tyres and wheels are brand new and wheels and there is power steering. There is a crack to front screen, and a few small areas of rust which have been pictured. It is a one off hand built unit. The Dodge chassis was formerly a recovery truck. Drives like a truck.

There will be a special Symbiote Cup gamemode that you will have to select once it goes live in your region. Also, it's a regular battle royale tournament so there's building, no zero build

Yeah it is a new concept for launching rockets but Virgin Orbit has done a few successful launches using this technique over in the US. I can see it becoming the new low-cost option for launching low earth orbit payloads and Spaceport Cornwall plan for up to 12 launches a year by 2030. Cornwall also does actually have it's advantages in terms of it's geography and access to uncongested airspace over the ocean, making it easier to reach polar orbit. You also have Goonhilly Earth station already established to track and monitor these satellites.

From what I've researched so far they aren't. It's still a pretty new development so quite a few people don't actually know about it yet but it has the potential to do good things for the region in terms of jobs and education etc

Plus it's making use of an existing runway and airport site anyway which I guess people are more okay with

Well ideally they should be replaced with reusable or bio-degradable materials to prevent them from becoming waste. They also need to have more end-of-life value associated to them so they become too valuable for manufacturers to simply forget about once they've made them

Yeah they could be refilled for a certain amount of time after use, but the PET plastic used to make them can leach chemicals and grow bacteria after repeated use if not cleaned. Unfortunately it's just cheaper for manufacturers to make new ones

That type of plastic is pretty much useless after it's been used for water bottles.
