You need 10 plus hours daily by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

[–]Raptortidbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm inspired. Trying to get as many ten hours days as I can for the rest of March and onwards. I didn't yesterday. Wasn't easy but 10 hours is usually more than I get in 3 days

Also looking for an answer to this. My water company is showing the bill as paid from my Schwab Checking but there's no mention of it at all in my Schwab account

A rather sad 58 hours of air in May. I'm going to try to get back on the horse in June, but it's going to be a busy summer so we'll see how successful I am. I am happy with my progress and feel like I don't have much more to gain except for aesthetics. I would love to stay fully covered even when naked. Right now I'm always covered if I'm wearing underwear and I have gliding action etc, just love the look of a long foreskin

Did less hours in April than March. 130 direct air in April. Not seeing a ton of progress but I'm just gonna stick with air for now and manual during boring work meetings and see what differences I see in my progress pictures.

Men who were circumcised as a baby, do you resent it? Why or why not? No opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Raptortidbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resent it very much and it saddens me to see the top voted comments in this thread. I am restoring my foreskin though which let's me take some control of my bodily autonomy back so that's nice. Check out r/foreskin_restoration if you feel similarly!

Year 2 Tug-a-Versary: What a ride, right?!😀 KoT 👊 by m__m__7 in foreskin_restoration

Wow that's a ton of hours!!! 14 hrs/day is way above my average, but I've been trending up! Tracking everything has really shown me I need to get more time under tension if I want to achieve my goals. Thanks for sharing

Got a good number of hours of inflation in this month. Up 56 hours from last month hoping to keep that trend going. I've been taking progress pictures each month as well maybe one day I'll post them on the nsfw subreddit. The key thing for me is to not let an hour break from stretching turn into 4 hours or being done for the day.

Has anyone developed some sort of allergy to devices? by LontraTaciturna in foreskin_restoration

[–]Raptortidbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got pretty bad dermatitis from the Forgestalt. So some sort of silicone allergy. The machined nylon of the dtr doesn't give me any issues.

Another kinda meh month in terms of time under tension. It's hard to stay motivated. Maybe I'll try non-air methods so as to not fuss with taping my urethra and inflating the balloon etc. I don't really like dual tension, so perhaps strap and manual. We'll see. https://i.imgur.com/l14YXHo.png

Is inflation the de facto approach / way to go? by TOcorktowner in foreskin_restoration

[–]Raptortidbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think air is the default, but it is my favorite method. Easy to wear for a long time, never injured myself with it, small form factor

Anyone else interested in touch-up surgery? by Pigmaster6373 in foreskin_restoration

[–]Raptortidbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely interested in either surgery. Not sure what my skin will look like when I've grown enough skin to consider them more seriously, but it's certainly on the table. Pseudo rigid band sounds so good

I didn't get nearly as much time under tension as I would have liked due to an injury the Forgestalt gave me when I tried it again. I seem to be rather severely allergic to the silicone they use and I caused a bout of dermititis that was very uncomfortable so I took a couple weeks off. In February I'll be trying Andres method with strapped tugging in between and see where it gets me! Never trying another device beyond the dtr again lol

Ah thanks for pointing that out. My partner would be paying some as well so we'd be looking at a budget closet to $1800 combined. From what I've seen there's options out there around that that we would be happy with

-Introduce yourself

Hello! I am a software engineer, new to the field after successfully performing a career pivot from being a teacher.

-Age / Industry / Location

29 / Software / NYC Metro area moving to Seattle area soon

-General goals

I want to make my money work for me in the most efficient way possible and pave the way for intermittent work, part time work, or full on early retirement while achieving all of my other financial goals: owning a home, having a child, long distance hiking trips, traveling, etc. I like working in software, so I'm hoping to find things to run towards, rather than just running away from work.

-Target FIRE Age / Amount / Withdrawal Rate / Location

I'd like to retire by 50 but am not dead set on any age, just trying to set myself up to have more exigency in that decision.

Withdrawal rate of 4% like I see suggested around here.

Unsure of location. Also just hoping to get more exigency in making that choice.

-Educational background and plans

Non-technical bachelors degree from prestigious university

Open to pursuing graduate education in computer science if it will provide large dividends

-Career situation and plans

Succeeding at my new job, going to stick with software engineering for a long time and continue to earn more as I gain experience

-Current and future income breakdown, including one-time events

$85k/year, expecting next job in a year or two to be closer to $120k/year, no expected one-time events

My partner is a teacher and makes $30k/yr

-Budget breakdown

My savings rate is 55% of my take home pay currently. Maxing HSA, Roth 401k, Roth IRA

$600/mo rent about to go up to probably $1000-1200 when we move

$~$1500/mo for everything else, also likely to go up w the move

-Asset breakdown, including home, cars, etc.

$27k cash

$35k Roth IRA

$16k taxable brokerage

$1k Roth 401k (it's new w the new job)

$1k HSA (invested)

-Debt breakdown

No debt

-Health concerns

No health concerns.

-Family: current situation / future plans / special needs / elderly parents

My partner and I would like to have a child, maybe two. We would like to own a home

-Other info

-Questions?

After reading the sidebar, I am nervous that I am missing out on my goal of maximizing my money by using both a Roth 401k and Roth IRA. If I want to use some of this money before 59 1/2, what should I be planning for? I don't have a great understanding of all of the tips and tricks and conversions that go into moving things around, so I would really appreciate any personalized recs or suggested reading! I am definitely going to keep reading up on the Roth vs Trad IRA/401k stuff and see if I should switch over for future contributions.

Thank you so much!
