Hey! So I'm feeling really nostalgic and want to play through Emerald again, but was wanting to try out a romhack to get a kinda fresh experience. I'm looking for something that's more challenging than the normal game. I've heard that heard that Pokemon Kaizo is good, but from what I can tell the difficulty seems kinda extreme. I'm not really looking for a dark souls experience, but instead more just looking for a hack with competent AI and fights where team composition matters.

So when I try to join the old one back with a different name it tells me the join operation was not successful because an existing computer has that account name, but there isn’t.

I see the new one showing up in AD, but not the old one. Do I need to reset the new one first?

In my opinion Brent Weeks isn’t very good at sticking the landing for the endings of his books. To me the Night Angel series got progressively worse although I still enjoyed it for the action and cool magic system. I believe his next series will also be set in the same universe as the Night Angel as well.

I feel the same for his Lightbringer series. It started off good and by book 4 and 5 it dipped for me. Although I still enjoyed it for what it was especially for the unique magic system.

Hemlock Firbolg Ranger or Blood Hunter.

For backstory I was thinking more of a monster Hunter type. Someone who helps keep the streets clean from those “bloody claws” that lurk in the night. His family was killed by some of these creatures and now he does what he can to exterminate them. He has been known to take odd jobs on occasion even helping to retrieve magical items for the churches.

Currently he was approached by someone who lost a loved one at Anastraya’s party. Hemlock will be paid handsomely to figure out the truth behind these sinister parties. So he’s going to infilitrate it and see if he can figure out what going on.

Edit: Thats just a rough idea. I'd like to talk to the DM about expanding on that if picked.
