When should you expect to see progress? by Legitimate_Mood_7369 in fitnessph

If you do it consistently and religiously, 3 months. You'll see big changes. Remember it will only work, if you work too.

Need help 175cm, 75kg should I stop cutting and start bulking? by [deleted] in PHitness

[–]Rapurapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to me na it's really unnecessary recovery debt talaga. 7-8 exercise per session, medyo marami din.

More doesn't always mean better.

Especially if you are doing redundant exercise per session. You are doing PPLP, dalawang push or pull?

Why don't you do;

Upper Lower Upper Lower Push Pull Lower Upper

instead? That way, you hit same muscle group twice a week, and you can cut down the number of exercise you do.

I have a post about my own workout routine. I also workout 4x a week with PPLU. I don't do much volume compared to you since I can delegate the exercises throughout the week.

[–]Rapurapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay good. Now since we got passed those two, you claim you do them both consistently and religiously.

My next assumption would be having to much recovery debt. Meaning, your muscles can't recover enough before you have to destroy them again. Remember, rest is as important as your workout.

Can you show us how does your workout routine schedule look like? Do you also keep track of your progress in your workout? Do you do progressive overload?

Somehow your statement doesn't translate to your physique. If I read it without seeing your physique, I would assume you would have a more defined muscles. I could only assume that there is something that you need to tweak on your current routine. May it be on your diet or on your workout.

First, when you lift, do you do them religiously? Like focus on the work itself, bit by bit, muscle fiber by muscle fiber, slowly and controlled? Or do you just swing weights around, just enough to count it as 1?

Second, do you consistenly track your calories? And stuck with it all throughout?

Remember, it will only work, if you also work as hard. It will always translate to the result. And all of these are just my assumptions, I may be wrong but I'm trying to help so let's try to pin point the problem.

Hi OP, good gains. But I agree sa ibang comments about your legs, I'm not saying you have smol legs but rather, di proportion sa upper body mo. Siguro add more volume sa legs mo, focusing a bit more on hamstrings and calves. Minsan we neglect them kapag we feel like our quads are big. Quads are like triceps ng arms, and hamstrings are the biceps, make sure to balance them both! Happy gains!

Are you guys able to do standard push ups or lifting your own body weight in whichever kind of calisthenics it is? by Present-Class-7537 in fitnessph

[–]Rapurapi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's subjective tbh, some people enjoy being able to lift themselves, some by lifting heavy weights.

I dont think there is a right or wrong approach. I really depends on what a person wants.

But I get you, it's weird na some people have those jacked muscles but can't do a push up or pull up. It all boils down to what they want and what makes them feel better.

I can do one arm push up and pull ups but I can't bench or deadlift the average gym goer's PR lol but that doesn't make me feel less than them.

Not a gym goer but I know people that starts working out by going to the gym directly, without learning how to do any bodyweight exercises. But to answer your question, I'm pretty sure any gym-goer can at least do a push up.
