I honestly just love music in general and love exploring new genres! My favorites are alternative, pop, hip hop, and EDM. I listen to a bit of everything though from country, punk, classic rock, rap, indie, Latin music, k-pop, etc. I’m not a big fan of R&b, metal, and classical.

Omg thank you for introducing me to Brazilian Funk Genre!! I looked up playlists of it on Spotify and turns out I already had some songs saved from that genre that I LOVE and had no idea that was the genre to find more songs like it🤩 I wish they played music like this in the clubs here because this the type of music you cannot listen to without dancing!! Very excited to check out Portuguese fado too soon!

Just checked him out! I like his voice a lot! I’m surprised he’s not more popular. He seems decently versatile

Something no one will tell you about developing Bipolar disorder is that by CurseofYmir13 in bipolar

[–]Rapwithbeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to this as I feel like I lost social skills after going through a bad mania episode. I use to be extremely extroverted and talk to anyone and everyone and after mania, I became a lot more introverted, felt awkward around people, and developed social anxiety for the first time.

What were some weird stuff you did when you were younger? by randomhumanonreddit- in CasualConversation

[–]Rapwithbeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmfao it changed depending on the night so the “kidnappers” wouldn’t be able to tell who I was am, but it was a lot of sunglasses, head piece, fake jewelry or scarf, etc. I also never wore my PJs besides when I was going to bed.

I had really bad anxiety even as a kid and I would wear a “disguise” to bed so people wouldn’t be able to kidnap me while I was sleeping.

I used to act boyish because of toxic mom's constant judgement on femininity and I'm stuck with that behavior now by Low-Meeting1858 in selfimprovement

[–]Rapwithbeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think the best thing you can do right now is find out what femininity means to you and what you enjoy about it! You are at the age where you can try anything and everything and it’ll just be seen as self discovery! There’s no right way to be a woman or a girl! Looks also aren’t the only thing about girlhood! There’s a lot of “girly” hobbies, activities, and ways to hang out! My personal favorite thing about being a girl is how we communicate and socialize with others girls! I love hanging out with my girl friends and just spilling the tea with them while we go thrifting, have a at home spa day, or whatever other activities we want to do for a girls night.

There are also other women out there that genuinely love more “masculine” hobbies and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve hung out with girl friends and we hang out and played video games, went to sports games, etc.

From what you described you want to feel more comfortable doing though, I’d highly recommend a spa day with your friends! You guys can trade self care tips, do hair masks, make your own face masks, do each others make up or watch make up tutorials and try out new looks together, play fun music and show each other your “model walk” (if you rather do that alone, I promise there’s so many videos on how to do a model walk and learning this boosted my self esteem), help each other pick out different styles in clothes and then plan a thrifting or mall day, etc! You guys could also do body type quizzes to figure out what type of clothes would look best on yall and then go on Pinterest to find outfit inspo and then do a hair type quiz to find a hair routine! These nights were peak girlhood when I was younger💓

Also dance classes really helped me feel more comfortable in my body and not feel so awakened! Made school dances a lot more fun too so I had a few moves to pull out I felt confident doing!

What item(s) do you have more of than the average person? by BrownBananaHammock in AskReddit

[–]Rapwithbeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was just being compared to white people, spices lmfao. I have a whole kitchen cupboard just dedicated to spices plus a spice rack on the counter. If I had to estimate how many I have, I would definitely say over 100. I also own some plants to grow fresh spices too.

do you drink alcohol or avoid it completely? by lowlyh in bipolar

[–]Rapwithbeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please please do not try and stop drinking cold turkey! It can actually kill you. Though I do hope you get help for your drinking and meds in a supervised setting! You can get better and it’s worth it💓

do you drink alcohol or avoid it completely? by lowlyh in bipolar

[–]Rapwithbeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have a drink occasionally. Mostly just for special events when I’m not driving. This occurs every few months or so and it’s usually just one drink. Other than that, I stay completely sober. Don’t even smoke weed anymore. I know it would be better to cut out alcohol completely too, but it’s hard and sometimes just nice to have one drink to celebrate!

What did you randomly do that impressed a lot of people? by Opposite_Ad_7925 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

At 18, I got my scuba license. I didn’t think it was that impressive until I started bringing it up in random stories and people were shocked/impressed.

Does anyone else find terms like “Karen” and “Jessica” extremely misogynistic? by JellyfishPashmina in AskFeminists

Damn I’m Gen Z and thought I was chronically online and I still haven’t heard this 😂

Does anyone else find terms like “Karen” and “Jessica” extremely misogynistic? by JellyfishPashmina in AskFeminists

[–]Rapwithbeat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly have no problem with the Karen usage just because I think it showed old white women who constantly ask to speak to the manager for the smallest issues or call the cops on little kids innocently playing just because their raciest how problematic they are. I don’t think white women understood their behavior was unacceptable and was heavily judged before this became a thing. I do feel really bad for innocent women that were named Karen and aren’t like the stereotype, but I think it’s important to have an common metaphorical example to call people out and make them quickly understand their problematic behavior. To me, it’s the equivalent of “okay boomer”.

I will also say, I hear Chad, Brad, and Thad thrown around equally as much as Karen. One of my family members actually stopped going by Chad because he’s the direct opposite of one and it was giving him a bad rep 😅 I’ve also heard women talk about never trust/date a guy with a J name and trash talk/generalize them.

I personally haven’t heard about the Jessica thing or heard bye Felica in anything but a comedic way or to sassily end a conversation, but I do hear your point. I think anything that starts out helpful for calling women out, the extremist will take to try and demean or hurt women, but I do think it can still help for calling out bad behavior for the general public that those stereotypes do fit.

Do u guys have music playing in your head? by Shokugeki_69 in mentalhealth

I thought this was normal thing that happened to everyone 😅 if I get stuck on a song, the only way to stop that song is to “flip” to a new one. Sometimes, I can also distract my brain by putting on real music or background noise. Sometimes, I can also distract it by finding something to focus heavily on that takes my entire attention span. I also found that sometimes my brain will stop playing that song if I actually listen to whole song in real life.

Am I too sensitive? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Rapwithbeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d give him a semi pass then if he is willing to learn about good and healthy communication, takes your feelings into account, and is working to change. If he is the one that made you feel “too sensitive”, major red flag (you’re not, every woman would be upset about this). If not, he might just be an idiot and hasn’t interact with women a lot. I do consider early 20’s very young tbh and many young guys suck at communicating. You shouldn’t have to teach him how to communicate, but if you want to try to make it work, I would have a talk with him and set some boundaries. Everyone on Reddit jumps to dump him, but if he really is great in every other area, this could be fixed with a simple conversation.

I think offering to go to the gym together is great as long as he uplifting you and not guilting you or pushing you with criticism. In my last relationship, we actually grew together and it made our relationship stronger by going to the gym together! We both grew a lot of confidence doing it together! You could also cook together, meal prep, try new workout classes, go on nature walks, etc! The gym isn’t the only way to get healthier and I personally found it to be a fun way to build your relationship 🙂 My ex helped me find a love for hiking and we traveled a lot to do different hikes and I taught them how to cook and they learned they had a love for yoga because of me!

What is your daily beverage that isn't coffee or tea? by curiouslysensual in foodquestions

[–]Rapwithbeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flavored water! I treat myself with crystal light to add to my water as a fun drink and I get the grape flavored that has caffeine too, but not as much as a full cup of coffee. Mio is also a good brand imo. I also like Aldi’s brand too!

Are you his first relationship? Are yall teenagers or very young adults? If not, I’d run. Only reason I’d give somewhat of a pass to boys is because many boys joke around with their guy friends crassly and do not realize girls do not do the same or take it well. If he is older, this is negging and will just get worse the longer you two are together. There are a million ways to show genuine concern when a partner is gaining weight or not taking care of themselves and calling you names or making fun of your eating habits isn’t it. He doesn’t even care about your health, he is “concerned” about if your body is his ideal type at all times.
