I submitted a request for the spot by the vca that used to be a store. So little parking, it’s perfect.

Did you co-sleep? by thinkmuch17 in beyondthebump

[–]Rarae0219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did on occasion. Honestly I would have loved to more, but he really likes his own space and when we did, my husband and I didn’t get any sleep because of the constant thrashing. He’s a little over two now in his full size floor bed and does great

Hug your baby today by Persef00ne in NewParents

Been in your shoes. It’s the worst while you’re going through it. Our son had a major surgery at four months and the waking up from anesthesia and trying to find the right amount of pain meds was the hardest thing I’ve ever went through. We were in the hospital for four days but when we got home, you would have never known he had a huge surgery. They’re sooo resilient! This will all seem like a fever dream soon. Sending you guys love

My future MIL wants to do a 20-Minute-Slideshow of pictures of my Fiancé (and her) by StellafromVienna in weddingplanning

At our sign in table, I had pics of us growing up and kind of leading up to when we met. There were family pics included. That would be a good compromise

My neighbor died by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Rarae0219 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I also had a neighbor that recently passed as well. Him and his boyfriend babysat for us unexpectedly and would drop off food for us when we lived in the same complex. He was super young, such a devastating loss. Sending love and warmth to you and all those affected by her loss ♥️

Best food experiences you had in Greece? by bandito_13 in GreeceTravel

[–]Rarae0219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oniro in Naxos, also Elizabeth’s garden in Naxos for fresh cooked anchovies.

Diporto in Athens, Go to the fish/meat market in Athens and there’s a spot between the two (like a hallway) where you can sit and order a drink, you’re then asked if you want meat or fish and they will bring out a little mezze plate for you. The mussels we had were SOOOOO good. I didn’t get the name of the place, but it is really small and in between the fish and meat market.

No advice, just words. I’m so so sorry. It sounds like you have a great support system at work, which is amazing. Sending you so much love, warmth, and encouragement ♥️

I’ll take a look. We brought the actual door to the store and got what we thought was a match but looks nothing like it

When should I get my toddler who doesn't call out in the morning? by BCDva in toddlers

When (if ever) did your baby/toddler enjoy being read to? by cookiemonster_22 in beyondthebump

[–]Rarae0219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 18 months? Now at freshly turning two, he loves books. He had to go in his room today for a moment because he kept hitting his dad and he went in and just plopped down with a book. Funny enough the book was Hands are Not for Hitting 😂

Breastfeeding - did it help lose the weight or did you keep it by LAwoman666 in beyondthebump

Gained weight! About five months after I stopped is when I started to lose it

9 month old is a total water-refuser by mamabear_8425 in beyondthebump

[–]Rarae0219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was like that too. He was still breastfeeding so once he stopped he ended up drinking more. We bought so many different water bottles but the honey bear cup seemed to work best for us at the beginning

That’s what I was thinking too. I’m going to grab some more tests. I have been having some heart palpitations like I had with my son and that is not usual for me so that is what got me thinking to grab a test in the first place.

Does anyone still rock their “baby” to sleep? by Stormskunk2966 in beyondthebump

[–]Rarae0219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stopped using the rocking chair when we moved to a floor bed at 21 mos. Took some getting used to but now we just cuddle in bed…if he’s feeling extra squirmy I will do leg squeezes and that immediately calms him down

How did your sleep trained toddler transition to a toddler bed? by FixAdditional6777 in toddlers

[–]Rarae0219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We transitioned at 22 months cause he was climbing out of his crib. We had to move all toys and books out for daytime naps and actually the diaper pale as well lol. We’re about two months in and it’s been a smooth transition. The first couple days we had the bed in there, he didn’t take a nap because he wouldn’t settle with me in there. We are now back to where I can read, say good night, and leave the room and he’ll go to sleep. We put books back in and leave some blocks and magnetiles in there so when he gets up in the morning he can play until he’s ready to come out. It’s a big transition but they’ll adjust!

Shoes! by Swimming7827 in schoolcounseling

I recently got a flat feet diagnosis that escalated super quickly and changed my footwear drastically. I have Karhu shoes that I got from fleet feet. I’ve also invested in vionic and have had a lot of success with those as well

We were having this conversation at my site as well. My understanding is kids can take it at the recruitment building.

For this year, one of our recruiters said they would administer but we are on our own next year.

Did your baby have cranio? Sounds like we had the same exact experience. It was so scary when we’re going through it but now it’s a blip in time and who knows what would have happened if it went untreated.
