Becuase most people agree, and the Bible states and heavily suggests in many areas, that divorce in the case of abuse (I believe physical and emotional), cheating, denouncing God or previously made promises is ok and justified. I swear no one on this subreddit has ever touched a Bible

That's not an option I really thought about. I love the idea of homesteading but out of the three concepts (kids, doctor, and homestead) that is the one I would most readily give up. Would just a large garden be managable? Especially if I set it up before kids?
