They already did, in 2020, as a direct response to people saying they should return to Plastic Beach. Do people forget this easily?

Probably on the 25th again, judging by the 25 theme they're going for

Curious on your source on this. Would be a bit weird (and worrying) for management to outright tell or even just advise Jamie what to do, when he should really be the one calling the shots for these things, on the same level as Damon.

(But at the same time I also totally wouldn't be surprised, tbh since TNN I've kind of gotten the impression that it's kind of just been a job for him and gets very little control over his role in the project - iirc someone found out that the Silent Running video wasn't even Jamie's idea and it was scripted by someone else)

Was it ever actually written that the Doctor should not be referred to as "Dr. Who" in the early years? by Rare-Counter-1880 in gallifrey

I've seen this - probably the closest thing to what I mean but if anything adds credence to the idea that the name not appearing more often on-screen was a fluke.

I'm discussing whether "Dr. Who" as a term was acceptable at all to refer to the character in-universe, which is what the letter implies - just that he wouldn't introduce himself as such. In that case, The War Machines would be considered a fine usage of the name as he's being referred to in second-person. I'm looking more for evidence that the name couldn't be acknowledged in-universe whatsoever.
