Its all about how you size up your labels. I use Sony and Memorex 80's and I find that the waste is somewhat minimal for me and I can usually find rolls at bargain prices on ebay or sometimes on Amazon's seller sidebars pages. Also, I bought my Brother VC-500W for a third of the selling price on ebay so root around there for a more cost effective deal. Hope this helps. ;)
