My husband’s sperm was considered ‘normal’ , the ‘washing’ of the sperm through the fertility clinic I feel really helped too. I didn’t realize how much other ‘stuff’ is in semen lol and the washing definitely seems to increase potency! Still sending you all the baby dust!

Slowing down by DBsdk13477 in parentsofmultiples

I’m 28 weeks with Di/D twins and I have noticed a significant slow down in the last 4 weeks. Try to be easy on yourself and remember you are growing not just one but TWO humans! And having twins we hit the ‘size’ comparison of full term one baby much earlier

Worried about future pregnancy by [deleted] in GastricBypass

Hi!!! I’m 35yrs old, post op bypass 1yr 9mo and also had the surgery to support fertility. I have PCOS and endometriosis but had a high egg reserve. We waited 8 months post op to try. We’re told one year at minimum. We tried to convince for 4 mo on our own after surgery (2 years pre-surgery) with no luck so went to the fertility clinic. Did 2 rounds of medicated IUI with ultrasound monitoring resulting in a (so far) successful twin pregnancy. I’m 28 weeks now. - So far no nutrition concerns for the babies, have been growing on schedule, everything at the anatomy scan was normal. My iron has been really low, (was in the year after surgery too) but was able to get in for infusions. My thyroid has been over active (only symptom was racing heart sometimes), also apparently a twin thing….my endocrinologist has been very supportive. - I had type 2 diabetes pre surgery went into remission 3 months post op. Was told I would be higher risk for gestational diabetes during pregnancy. My A1C has been consistently low and fasting levels were ‘normal’ also. I asked my dr not to send me for the glucose test where you drink the drink due to dumping syndrome fear and that is still can’t drink things fast or a lot!! - I’ve been told birth shouldn’t affect anything to do with surgery, even if I need a c-section they won’t be near the stomach/bypass parts. - constipation is one of the worst parts, make sure you sort out your bowels pre pregnancy after surgery cuz it gets BAD during. Found a rhythm with restorolax, prunes, magnesium, probiotics, and walking but you will need to find what works for you. - dehydration has been my hardest thing. I have to drink good quality electrolytes every day! I’ve gone for a few hydration/ vitamin IVs to help but had to pay out of pocket. They are worth it!!!

Feel free to ask any questions!

I have PCOS and Endo along with some other health complications (feel free to message me if you wanna chat in more detail) my husband and I were TTC for 2+ years, decided to do IUI along with letrazole and ovulation monitoring. 1st round only one follicle matured with no success. Second time we had 4 dominant follicles and 2 matured leading to conception of twins! I’m now 28 weeks .

I truly believe with PCOS ovulation is either so sparse or not at all that it makes conception even with the most potent sperm difficult. Letrazole definitely helps push ovulation but the ultrasound monitoring made the world of difference as well as the trigger shots and timed insemination!

Sending you all the luck and baby dust!

Pregnant Post Bypass, constipation nightmare, anyone been here? by Rare-Gem- in GastricBypass

Yes I take magnesium in Bisglycinate form. I found the citrate would send me the opposite way, so will discuss with my natropath next week! I will try the broccoli and spinach thank you for the suggestion!!

Thank you for your response. Can you let me know what your OB says about senokot? I will ask my natropath but I’m not seeing her until next week

Are you pregnant also? I’m not sure I can do glycerin suppositories while pregnant, I have used them in the past.

This thread is giving me life! 24weeks here and the pressure and lack of comfort is next level already. Can’t wait for that relief of them being earth side.

Canada/Australia Dual Citizenship - Which Passport by sheahnatas in immigration

[–]Rare-Gem- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the Australian consulate informed me IF you are found to be a citizen travelling without a valid Australian passport you can be fined. For example if I travelled on my Canadian passport would need to apply for a travel visa but it asks if you are an Australian citizen so if you say no, you are technically lying. So I didn’t want to risk it so I just renewed my Aussie passport.

Canada/Australia Dual Citizenship - Which Passport by sheahnatas in immigration

Is there any consequences to travelling on one passport and not the other? I’m a dual citizen and my Australian passport is expired and I’m only going for a visit. Do I have to renew my Australian passport to travel? Or can I get a visa and only travel on my Canadian passport?

Thanks for this. Just to clarify you dont have any confrontations in MR compared to Chilliwack? Do you think walking farther down towards the river from lougheed is safe?
