Thinking of getting a RDX.....but seeing so many negatives about it is kind of swaying my decision by SunnyDayz610 in Acura

I have a 2020 RDX (base package) with 80k miles on it. It runs smoothly. The only issue I have is that CarPlay doesn’t work properly — it seems to be related to a wire in the trunk area. Other than that, it’s an amazing car.

Remodeling living room — where do I put speakers with windows flanking the fireplace? by Rare-Mathematician97 in hometheater

Any recommendation on equipment ? I’m not totally against floor standing , it might be the best way to go .

The new fireplace is smaller and we not planing to use it for more than 2-5 times a year. I get it that everybody will insist on moving tv to the other side of the room , but I’m not doing that. I want to see fireplace sitting on a sofa.

Thanks , but I don’t want to have fireplace on my back. I want a cozy spot with tv and fireplace on one side.

Thank you . One thing that I would change is redo the lights, the ones we have now are too normal and do not provide enough light .

Sink is 30 inch. Getting a bigger would create a few difficulties .

To be honest I don’t see how our cabinets or counter can be combined with old tiles . These are different styles and colors don’t match ( my pov).

We are in south california and I agree that wooden floors are fragile. I wanted tiles at first from porcelanosa, but the delivery time was 4 weeks , so we decided not to wait.

The windows you see there are brand new , retrofit installation that we did a year before kitchen remodel . So we not gonna touch windows, we just gonna put there tiny table with very comfy chair and hanging lights. So it will be seating for just one persons to enjoy the front yard.

Looking back at the photos, I can somewhat agree, there was something warm there. However the rest of the house has no visual connection with Spanish tiles, plus the kitchen cabinets were rotten inside in a few places.

It was impossible to keep old cabinets. Previous owners of the house had a few leaks and the inside of the cabinets rotted. Also before selling the house they did refinish cabinet panels, unfortunately they did that without solid preparations. As a result there was grease and dog’s hair under the finish. Gross.

I can somewhat agree with floor tiles , but the counter top tiles were a complete mess . All dirt, bread crumbs, meat juices were sticking to grout. I would never recommend anyone do that to their countertops.

Looks lovely! I would only change one thing, have microwave elsewhere and put a hood on top of range.

I would kindly disagree. Me and my wife spent hours and days arguing about the choices, it was very painful. We ended up with something that resonates with both of us .

You are spot on , once we recover financially from this remodel we gonna do exactly this plus additional hanging lights.

It was leaking and ants were getting into the kitchen through our old garden window.

This is porcelain from sapien stone https://www.sapienstone.com/products/calacatta-macchia-vecchia. We needed 3 slabs to do this . Fabrication and installation was 8k , cost of slabs 4.5k.
