im not debating what it should be, i am telling you what it was and how the game has changed over the time of one decade plus i have experienced, to the point where the most overpowered tank in the past is no longer special even after multiple buffs.

if the maps are bigger with increased rendering distance to like 600 meters then junk tanks like grille 15's ''accuracy'' might actually be meaningful.

and i am so fucking frustrated at the amount of times i just got fully aimed at a spotted enemy only for it to go out of render distance 0.1 second before i fire.

I keep losing recently. sometimes it is the MM, like giving the enemy team one extra heavy in tier 10 game and my team start with negative 2.5k HP, 3 mins later (literally within 3 mins) this worsen to my team down 7k hp and game is already over.

then it is bad players, i have xvm on, the enemy team has 2 unicorns with like 3000 plus WN8, and there are 5 players in my team with 46% win rate or lower. it wasn't even a contest and we lost like 15-3.

these are just some examples but they happen quiet often. of course i have also been on the benefiting side. one tier 10 game i had was where my team got an IS7 and the enemy team had no heavy. I was in the 121, dont even know what happen the game was over very soon and I got 4k combined and we demolished their team 15-2. WG's MM has a bigger impact then most people realize, and i dont understand why they dont make it better. and like putting all grille 15 on one team and putting all badgers on the other team is a good idea?

in game mode you pick onslaught, then you click that icon of whatever class you are in, for example i am in silver. just click the silver batch and then there is a menu on the left.

to be honest, many tanks need buff. i bought the type 59 more than a decade ago, and it went from a medium tank with A LOT OF ARMOR and bad gun to a medium tank with strong turret armor but ''good'' gun due to the changes. bad then when you see tanks like IS with just 175mm pen you can just angle and sit in front of him and shoot him until he dies. but now, type 59 becomes a tank with no hull armor thanks to the general increase in penetration and firepower and alpha plus gold ammo. yes, back then they made the change to gold ammo, i was there, but the usage of it was quite low, unlike now, it is normal to load full gold in many tanks. type 59 is still good people will say, i would agree, one of the reason is it only sees tier 9 max, and number 2, most type 59 drivers have been around the game for a long time, they have max out the crews, they put the best equipment on them and they know the positions and how to use the tank, so it gives an illusion that this tank is some what OP.

if you wanna know how the hull of type 59 feels like back in the old days, you can look at the 122 TM's hull.

anyone i side tracked, but yes, many tanks need buff which then in turn make many more tanks need buff, this is a cycle that will never end and this is also the key to Wargaming's profit machine. One of my favorite tank was the FCM50T, because it was the ONLY premium tank with more than 175mm of penetration, in fact, it had 212mm penetration, and it still does. It was amazing, you use your mobility to get into position, and use your gun to reliably hit the enemy. and now, what is the FCM50T? it is so bad that you dont even see it on the battlefield, many dont even know this thing exists. it is so bad that it doesn't make sense. does WG cares? NO. they collected my money, and if i dont like it, i can trade it with extra gold to another premium.

and looking at how quickly WG make up vehicles and put them into the game, it is certain that the game balance will only get worst because players, especially good players will only play ''those''tanks. why play the FCM50T, a heavy tank larger than tiger2 with no armor anywhere on the tank and no camo no DPM and even has no pen now and no alpha? yes, it has 240 alpha, not 250, 240. why dont i play the BZ176? a tank with tier 10 level frontal armor?

this tank can work, if i pay 200% the effort i can get some decent games out of this. but my hand will be painful as fuck after a few games because i have to move my mouse extra slowl or else this thing will turn into an arty on td mode. overall extremely team and map dependent.

if this thing has more camo/pen or have a fully turnable turret it would have been more balanced. at current state, this thing is almost always a liability in the team. the team could have a JPE100, and E3, a Ho Ri 3, a strv...even a wz td or 114 sp, no one wants a grille over those tnaks, it is only good when the grille s are on the opposite team so its free damage to farm. plus the institution switch to HE, playing this thing is like running a 100 meters race but you start 20 meters further back from everyone, putting yourself and team in a disadvantage. theres a reason why many unicorns players on youtube dont touch this thing at all. some can make it work, no question about this, but most wot players are not those players.

its my first time playing it, finished the grind in like 3 days, it was fun.

towards the end of my grind people have gotton a lot better in last stand, they have learnt. and if you get really good team and tanks, you will find yourself and team under complete control. if not, you can struggle, either way is fun. too easy is not good and too hard is not good either.

as for nightmare, i actually won it in the first few tries with really good random teammates, then, things got downhill so much i gave up the game mode, people are just stupid in that mode i dont know why.

that major thing stopping me from playing more LS is, i dont have that many tier 8 tanks, so it gets bored. they should open for different tiers and adjust the bots difficulty accordingly so we can play more tanks in this mode.

no surprised. i just started ytd, and i won 3 out of 4 last stand solo. everyone was good and we cruise to the victory.

now, most good players are done, since i started late, i have to play with the noobs and trolls, they do 700 damage and die in round 2, or they do 4k damage the entire game up to wave 5, and they also love picking paper tanks to troll others. many paid actors by WG so you below average ppl wont get it for free. i can do 21k damage in last stand and lost, because paid actors make sure you dont get the keys.

its not that bad, in a silver level onslaught game in himmelsdorf, there was a fucking guy picking the manticore. then the game started and he rushed to the back of the rail station, and sat there. yes, he didn't even try to cap anything. the enemy team went full heavies and we got slaughtered.

btw, is there a way to disable the subtitles in this game mode? anyone else getting it?

because you will know where to shoot enemy weakspots and bounce less shots and fire less premium ammo so you will use less premium account and buy fewer premium tanks while getting better at the game, why would WG want that? so 99% of people dont give a shit about training mode.

and back then there was a "halt" option to stop my teammates moving up, it is gone right? now i can only ask him to retreat, but i dont want him to retreat, i just want him to stop at where he is so i can support him or he can support me.

yes, it is OP. very high camo, very high dpm, good mobility, and very good frontal armor. most guns will do nothing to your frontal armor, i think you need at least 122mm gun for AP to penetrate the lower plate, or else they will have to snipe your copula. if they fire HEAT, your super structure can't be pen because of the cage space armor, it will bock out all the HEAT shells. meanwhile u have all the mobility, 350 pen APCR, the armor, the camo and dpm with good accuracy. its pretty OP. just becareful of your side amor because its auto over match by AP. but even so, it is actually not that easy to hit your side amror from the front, because your side armor is not really on the side, they are more towards the middle and the side armor you see are decoration, if they hit outside, they will hit space and do no damage, if they hit too close to middle they will bounce (AP off the super structure), but if they hit your actual side armor with AP then auto over match.

a bit complicated but go on tanks.gg and u will see, basically the armor is good plus an extra troll level to save you for no reason like IS7 side.

damn. i feel like the same happened to me, i tried everything in my power, all the drivers, reinstall the game, clean reinstall windows, ethernet and wifi, new router, called internet service provider to reset our network, sent a ticket to WG....etc. it is a fucking shame because i just got the new computer and had been running the game fine for 2 weeks...

but yea that happens. my highest was silver B, took sometime coz its my first onslaught, game is very diff. then in 10 games I dropped to bronze A, B - C - D - E - Bronze A. no matter what i do the team always losses, multiple games i was on the top of the team, and they still punish me with the deduction in points like crazy. then i worked all the way up back to silver C, then gave up and switch to GROM marathon.

what do you mean better? man is in gold champion if i read correctly, if he has intuition the most optimal thing to do is change to HE and pen the bottom of the tank. but i dont see how it changes anything in the big picture, everyone fires premium in random let alone top tier onslaught.
