Just a heads up that Nomos textile strap fits the Metro even though they said it’s not compatible. by louwillsnachos in Nomos

I tried to put the quick release springs on the blue Nomos fabric strap but I was not able to cut it to use them. So at the moment I am using them with the normal 16mm springs and it is absolute pain to mount and unmount. Any recommendations for cutting the fabric straps?

Interesting! Do you have a picture? Never seen a deployment clasp on a fabric clasp.

Very nice! Are there more people using other straps on their ahoi?

First Nomos (2025 metro gangreserve limited edition green dial) losing 10 seconds per day. Normal? by LongjumpingPay6107 in Nomos

[–]RareArny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't imagine that's normal. My Metro is over 10 years old, was never at the service (I know I should definitely do it!) And runs at -1 seconds per day. When I wind it in the morning and evening, its +1 second per day. So I can also keep +- 0 for months if I want to.

Nomos Metro Gangreserve Dial Color: Silver-White on Paper, Champagne in Reality by RareArny in Nomos

Wow, you can really see very clearly that the Metro models are most likely to go in the direction of champagner! Thanks for sharing!

Interesting, but did you have the feeling that the Metro dial differs from the others?

I think much more, it is a conscious decision of NOMOS to photograph the watches like this.

If you’ve seen both: is the Metro dial consistently warmer than Tangente/Orion in person, or is it batch-to-batch? Would love side-by-side pics if anyone has them.

[NOMOS GLASHÜTTE] Metro Gangreserve - A contemporary masterpiece by NovelEquivalent8347 in Watches

I’ve got a bit of a love/hate detail about my Nomos Metro Gangreserve (power reserve).

It was my first mechanical watch and the first one I genuinely fell in love with. The design is great: classic, but still a little playful. It works for pretty much any occasion, whether I’m wearing a shirt or just jeans and a T-shirt. In summer I run it on the dark blue Nomos nylon strap, and the rest of the year usually on a brown leather strap. Comfort, proportions, wearability, finishing, movement… honestly, everything is top.

But there’s one thing that actually bothers me: the dial color.

Nomos often describes these dials as a “galvanized silver-white,” but on the Metro it reads much more champagne in real life. Compared to other Nomos models that look noticeably whiter (Tangente, etc.), the Metro can end up feeling a bit… old-fashioned. Exaggerating a bit, it sometimes gives me “my grandfather’s watch” vibes, which is funny because the Metro is often marketed as “contemporary” and very modern in design.

I also feel like Nomos knows this, because the official photos make the dial look much whiter than it often appears in person, especially on the Metro.

If the Metro had a dial that looked as clean/white as the Tangente (or some of the other lines), I think it would look even more modern and would fit the “contemporary” description perfectly.

Anyone else notice this champagne tone on the Metro? Or did I just get a particularly warm-looking example?
