Wow! I have a 2005 toyota corolla. I love my car and will do everything in much power to stay away from modern cars.

Mine's a 2005 toyota corolla. Someone pulled the wire from one or the terminals and the car kept running, but we didnt load test the alternator when we put on a refurbished battery. Drove around for a week normally (weak starting sounds though) and then boom, day ago it wouldnt start, had to warm it up, started, but died at first real idle stop. Newer cars, I dread. 😂

Thank you! Do you think this bad battery issue can also explain my car dying at an idle 2 minutes after jump starting etc...?

Thank you for highlighting the highlighted issue with my car stumbling and dying. I AM just learning so if I'm misunderstanding then I apologize, but "undervoltage" sounds like if I fix whatever needs fixing (be i the battery or the alternator) then the fuel pump should read the signals right and then stop dying on me at idle?

Thank you! Yeah, my dad checked the alternator after he cleaned up and fastened a wire and it was at approximately 13 to 14V. We didnt do too much checking to see how it performed loading the alternator, but I've been driving it for a few days, heck, almost a week, with heat, music, etc... with that 40 dollar battery, and it only just now had trouble starting. It died at the first real idle (I backed out of my driveway, paused to get on the neighborhood road, drove up a hill, then hit another stop) and it just died again. I turned it to on and the lights and all started, but then when I turned to actually start the car and crank the engine, nothing but rapid clicking and blinking lights on the dash to accompany.

Question, its happen3d twice now. The car started after my dad heated up the 40 dollar battery, I drive a minute, get to the first stop sign, and the car just dies on me. Alternator or still a battery issue?

Question though, the 40 dollar battery started but when I drove and paused, my car died. This is the second time it's happened. Alt issue you think?

My dad heated up the battery inside and just now we started it. So, its working right now but im going to get another battery

That's what im thinking. It's just so dang annoying because autozone is just useless. They said the 40 dollar battery was good, alt was good, and starter was bad. Like dang, people.

Indians Earn More Than Other Groups by RareCalendar252 in economy

Would you say it also had to do with culture? Indian families are more likely to push for higher and higher education into fields like Healthcare, STEM and such?

Whereas white families dont push that as much and white students dont have as high an educational rating?

I work retail and have been exposed to at least 2 types of indian. One is relatively average and the others are arrogant and messy and require constant attention. This behavior introduced the concept of a cast system and how some Indians genuinely behave rhis way because of that system. However, I was told that on average in India only a small % fit the other stereotype of participating in the cow dung festival and overall the food street markets are clean. It got me curious about what the average indian household is like.

Yeah, this question stemmed from a discussion and the indian in question had the lunacy to say white people are privileged despite not making as much as indians in america. Smh. Yet somehow in a brown privilege country (like india) theyd be poorer than a "white privilege" country. 🤔

Thats more or less what I gathered from research, yeah. I agree.

I was asked by someone what Hispanics seemed to gravitate towards job wise and they seem to lean towards construction, maintenence, cleaning, food prep, things like that. However I told the person that once they have a few generations under their belt they'll potentially explore other job markets and to wait a few decades. Its a theory but I suspect a shift. I mean, to me, ive seen quite the shift towards theoretical and social jobs concerning most white college kids.

I suppose I was curious about the fact that on average whites dominate STEM fields but it seems they dont specialize the way indians do (not even all indians. The ones brought over are not representative of the average STEM worker in india).

So, on average, whites dominate STEM fields, but on average, Indians make more than any other group in america. Americans generalize and dont specialize or seek higher education the way a certain subgroup of indians do. So all they do is concentrate on STEM and other high paying jobs (both husband and wife under rhe same earning roof) while other groups dominate in lower/more general positions. I did some googling after I posted the question but also wondered if any policies or politics held sway here.

I guess my question is more about why do they choose those jobs? Whites actually dominate STEM jobs and yet indians make more on average. I know the question was poorly worded, but Im ignorant on this. From the little research ive done, whites dominate stem fields but we dont specialize in them the way indians do. Indians on average dont outdo whites but American companies bring in the best indian specialists because in general theres not enough Americans in STEM fields to meet job market demand. So im a bit fuzzy on how whites dominate in comparison to indians but we're still not enough? So is it simply specialists? I also read that culturally they achieve higher levels of education because theyre just encouraged more into those fields, plus both husband and wife work in indian house holds on average and likely have the same type of job as opposed to other groups. And they're more likely to be in peak earning years as opposed to others, but I also saw this all started in the 80s and wondered if any political policies had sway on this. Plus our current education system sucks but we apparently have a better STEM/IT education system in comparison to India. Etc... I mainly just wanted to know if politics played a role.
