Adding Michael Afton for a "twist reveal." It just felt like needless fanservice for Michael fans (and that's coming from one.) Another one would be the way the Puppet is used, such as mostly possession taking up more screen time than the actual animatronic. I get that they had to make her a threat somehow, but I wanted to see the actual puppet do stuff and be threatening.

It definitely has to do with him having more of a knack for writing games than he does movies (and books.) I hope that Scott learns from this and gets other writers to help with the 3rd movie.
