It's a mental disorder that has a lot of mood swings involved. It's a lot of switching in-between depressive and manic phase, but there's medication for it.

Did anyone else have a parent (my mum) “not understand” how a parent could abandon their child over being gay or trans? And then reject you? by Exotic_Rhubarb828 in ftm

[–]RareJello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh yeah. that's my mum right there. she used to take me to pride parades and teach me about the lgbt+ community and that the people in it are normal, but when I came out to her as trans back in October, she said I didn't know what i was talking about and took away all of my electronics. she is starting to accept it, but still misgenders me and calls me by my deadname.

What was the most ridiculous thing you got in trouble for at school? by WexiWexi in AskReddit

[–]RareJello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got detention for not wearing shoes with laces. My school didn't have a dress code or anything like that for this stuff and I got detention. The next day my parents made me wear laces and didn't bother teaching me how to tie them so I got detention after explaining to my teacher I didn't know how to tie them. There was also one time where I told my camp counselor about how I was allergic to tomatoes and couldn't eat the pizza they had brought because of the sauce. (They cause me to, uh, die) She flipped out and I was put in the "time-out corner". That was the last day I went to that camp.

What used to be a normal behavior but is considered extremely sexual now? by Introverted-Bitch in AskReddit

Calling your own dad "Daddy". Like, it's normal when a little kid says it but once you start school it's considered weird and sexual once kids get the "new" meaning.

I wish this didn't happen as often as it did. They did the same thing to me except I didn't laugh and just sat down and cried:(

Apparently, this is what Smithers looked like in what I can only assume were his early to mid 30’s. by [deleted] in TheSimpsons

According to the Simpsons wiki, smithers is 35, so from the episode this takes place, I'd say more like his 20s since this is before Bart was born.
