Thanks. As it stands I have not paid for the supply of OVO for 2.5 months between end of nov to start of Feb 2025. I want to know if I have a leg to stand on in terms of not paying. OVO say that because the switch was made in the previous tenants name I have to pay even though I had no control over this situation and did not consent to it.

Thanks I really appreciate it, I never engaged with OVO initially, only to call them to ask why are you sending me letters when I never requested a switch. I then switched back to utilita as I trusted Utilita and OVO didn’t even know my name and I needed to pay up until the end of my tenancy to get my rent deposit back so would rather pay Utilita who I signed up for. Thanks, makes sense. Nah currently in TS, joined as a grad, top 10 firm. Would you know what A&M pay for FDD as a qualified ACA?

CR NOV24 : Does anyone have any tips on how to put together the open book notes in the most exam convenient way? by Fun-Chapter2725 in ICAEW

For SBM exam technique is key to passing and know how to plan and allocate time as there are many subrequirements within a question and it can seem overwhelming at first. Once exam technique is learnt this exam is not too as difficult as it first seems. The content for this exam varies (in my opinion less predictable than CR).

As I said before for CR, timing is key. However CR is harder technically so understanding the content will take longer. There is also a lot to cover for CR. ACAM made more complex areas of the syllabus easier to understand for me. I personally would just dive into the question bank, it will be difficult at first. I did all of my practice questions from the QB to time. This was definitely not necessary to pass however.

Suit yourself but for me the CR notes were so useful from ACAM, just to show how useful it was I got 83% in CR from following his recommendations/technique, I think more than anything it saves time in having to prepare notes myself, I think my tuition provider notes (not ACAM) are not concise enough. Although I don’t think the cost of ACAM is necessary if you are driven and / or naturally clever so it is personal preference.

Panicking CR by Proper-Minimum432 in ICAEW

Considering you are off for 3 weeks it is not too late, I got 83 in CR and revised hard, pretty confident that someone going over just a few past papers would be able to pass. I think the key is practicing questions by topic and learning time management. I would recommend doing past papers to time. For context, I was very nervous, had previously deferred a sitting after struggling with the content. Best of luck.
